Now that…is a problem…It wasn't a sandworm…No, it's a spider about the size of a dog. Scary to think about and especially terrifying when I'm facing it right now.
You know the weird thing though? I'm only feeling overwhelming tenseness…I'm still scared but it's more like facing a dog that's just overly friendly. No, maybe it's more like facing a non-venomous snake?
You can freeze up, run, or even want to fight that threat, but this? This situation feels non-threatening…even though I know spiders can prey on things bigger than themselves, my body is just tense.
Or maybe my body hasn't fully adapted to the world yet and literally just labeled this spider creature to be non-threatening for now.
NAH! That wouldn't make sense…especially when I'm in a new place with me needing to be cautious of everything.
Does it have to do with its appearance? Maybe? Like shouldn't it be camouflaged? From what I can see, it has the typical spider-like body, six legs, beading eyes, and fangs. But the appearance of it just doesn't fit the environment at all. Its color is grey, like plain grey.
So with it out in the open like this in the desert, it's very visible to me.
Aren't spiders usually ambush-like creatures? Because it doesn't look like it's gonna ambush me at all. Not from its appearance and especially not from its form
