"Uh..." You look at the little boy who's holding a toy duck in his hand. He has short black hair and green eyes. He is wearing a grey and blue turtleneck sweater and beige baggy pants. "We- are uh..."
"Are you my brother's friends?" The little boy asks.
"Your brother?" You question. He slowly nods.
"Yeah- that's right. We are your brother's friends." Chifuyu answers. The little boy smiles and nods.
"My brother left- He went with mommy and I have to stay in here." The little boy says pointing at some toys on the ground. You look at the boy feeling a mixture of confusion and exhaustion.
"Oh- Okay..." You softly say, slowly nodding.
"Wanna play with me?" The little boy says pulling you towards his toys. You look at Chifuyu wanting him to say something. The little boy looks up at Chifuyu and smiles at him. He walks up to Chifuyu and holds out a red dino. "You be the dinosaur." He says handing Chifuyu the dino and pulling him over to you. "Sit." The boy says pointing to the ground and then quickly plopping down. You look at Chifuyu who is staring at you. He sighs and sits down.
After following the little boy around Chifuyu leans in towards you. "We should really get going..." He whispers into your ear.
"I know but he saw us... What if he tells someone..." You whisper back.
"Your hand is hurt..." The little boy says pointing towards Chifuyu's hand. He crawls towards him and grabs his sleeve. Chifuyu pulls his hand away. The boy stands up and holds his hand out towards Chifuyu. "I have Band-Aids. I can get you some." He insists. Chifuyu furrows his eyebrows and then sighs, nodding a bit and following the little boy. You stand up and follow the boy too. The little boy leads you both out the room and down the hall towards another room. He lets go of Chifuyu's hand and runs into the distance, opening another door. Chifuyu slowly looks at you. You look back at him, furrowing your eyebrows.
"COME HERE!" The little boy yells. Chifuyu takes a deep breath and follows the little boy. He was standing in the bathroom, holding a box of Band-Aids. He places the box down and grabs Chifuyu's hand, turning on the water faucet. He places his hand in the water, cleaning the blood off. After cleaning the blood he dries it with a towel and puts the Band-Aid on it.
"What's your name?" Chifuyu softly asks. The little boy looks at Chifuyu and then cutely smiles.
"Hayaji Mori." He bubbles.
"Nice to meet you Hayaji." Chifuyu softly says with a smile on his face.
"Mori?" You say, looking at the little boy confused. Chifuyu looks at you and so does Hayaji. "Isn't Eli's father's last name Mori?" You ask looking at Chifuyu.
"Yeah- That's Eli's last name too." He responds.
"My daddy name is Eno Mori." The little boy bubbles. "But I can't call him that."
"Where is your dad?" You ask him. He shrugs and pulls Chifuyu with him out the room.
"He's probably working..." Hayaji answers. "Who's Eli?" He asks, looking up at Chifuyu.
"Uh- our friend." Chifuyu responds.
"Oh."
"Hey- Hayaji... can you help us with something." You say, looking down at Hayaji. He looks up at you and tilts his head a bit.
"Help you? Yes I can help you." He bubbles. "What do you want me- help you with?" He asks, smiling up at you. Chifuyu looks at you waiting for you to answer. You furrow your eyebrows and take a deep breath, nodding a bit.
"We lost our other friends while looking- for your brother... and we don't know where they are..." You say. You felt somewhat proud of the lie you made up.
"Oh- Yeah. I can help you." He says nodding and smiling. You smile at him and bow a bit.
"Thank you."
The three of you walk down the hallway looking for the room Eli and Emi is in. Chifuyu leans towards you a bit causing you to look at him.
"Wouldn't you think that someone's guarding the door they're in?" Chifuyu whispers to you. You furrow your eyebrows to the thought.
"I didn't think of that..." You quietly respond.
"Hayaji!" A voice says from behind you. You slowly look behind you to see a woman and a boy around your age walking towards the three of you.
"Uh-" Chifuyu looks at you with wide eyes. You feel a heavy weight on your chest, making it hard to breath.
"MOMMY!" Hayaji shouts as he skips towards the woman. The woman looks pregnant. She has long brown hair and soft green eyes. The boy beside her has brown hair and green eyes. The woman looks at us confused. Surprised I am not.
"Who are you?" His mother asks looking at you and Chifuyu confused.
"Uh-" You hesitate.
"They are Kenzo's friends!" Hayaji shouts. The boy furrows his eyebrows and slowly shakes his head when his mother looks at him.
"No- I never seen them before..." Kenzo says in a low and confused tone.
"Huh... But they said they were your friends." Hayaji softly says looking back at the both of you.
"We said we were your brother's friends... not- Kenzo's friends." You reply. Chifuyu slowly looks at you and then at the mother.
"What are you talking about? Hayaji only has one brother..." His mother answers with a confused tone in her voice. Your eyes relax and you look down feeling a sudden dread.
"That's the thing..." You slowly say. Chifuyu takes a deep breath.
"Yeah- well... your husband has three other kids." Chifuyu blurts out. You look at Chifuyu with shock on your face. The mother furrows her eyebrows and tilts her head a bit.
"What are you talking about?" She questions.
Kenzo quickly walks down the hallway towards the room you and Chifuyu described. You and Chifuyu follow behind him down the hall. The mother follows behind, holding Hayaji's hand. Kenzo pushes open the door to the room Eli and Emi are in. Eli is on the ground covered in bruises and Emi is in the corner of the room holding the baby... and in the center of the room is Eno Mori...
"DAD?" Kenzo shouts. The father's eyes slowly look towards Kenzo with a mixture of irritation and anger in his face.
"d-dad?" Eli repeats in a muffled way.
"Ah- so that's where the two of you went..." Eno chuckles looking at you and Chifuyu.
"ENO! WHAT'S GOING ON?!" The mother shouts, pushing past you and Chifuyu. You quickly walk into the room towards where Emi is. Her eyes are filled with tears.
"Emi... are you okay?" You quietly ask.
"You were right Yuki..." She sobs.
"Go away Riamu... this doesn't involve you." Eno motions for the mother to go away.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT DOESN'T INVOLVE ME? THESE KIDS ARE SAYING THAT YOU HAD OTHER CHILDREN!" She shouts. Eno furrows his eyebrows and glares at you.
"Go away Riamu..." He seethes.
"NO ENO! Tell me what the hell is going on!" She shouts. "DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH THAT GIRL!?"
"What girl?" Eno questions.
"The girl you obsessed about years ago! The one who went missing! DO- DON'T TELL ME YOU-" The mother backs away, hyperventilating. "You said you didn't- you didn't- " She starts sobbing loudly. Kenzo rushes towards his mother and helps her stand better.
"..." Eno slowly turns his head towards Eli with a blank expression on his face.
"YOU SAID YOU DIDN'T DO ANYTHING TO THAT LITTLE GIRL!" She shouts. "YOU HAD CHILDREN WITH HER- WHHHYYYY!?" She screams. Her screams sound painful. You furrow your eyebrows at the situation. Chifuyu grabs onto your hand, holding it tightly. The mother collapses down to the ground. Your eyes widen when she does so. Eno flinches and then clenches his fist.
"This is all your fault..." He seethes grabbing Eli by his shirt collar and pressing a knife towards his neck.
"NO! LET GO OF MY BROTHER!" Emi shouts, tears streaming down her face.
"I didn't want this to happen... but your mother made it so complicated." Eno laughs in a stressed way.
"Please... no- don't!" Emi cries out. Kenzo glares at Eno, tears filling his eyes.
"Dad?" Kenzo cries out. Eno's eyes widen as he watches Kenzo crying.
"Daddy..." Hayaji looks at him confused. "Don't hurt him..." He sniffles.
"Kenzo... Hayaji... I- I'm sorry..." Eno says in a sad tone.
"It doesn't matter... we called the police on you already..." Riamu seethes. "I hope you rot in jail!" She shouts, glaring up at him. Eno drops Eli down and slowly nods.
"I'm... sorry..." he listlessly says.
You sit in a hospital waiting room, staring down at the ground. So much happened... You feel extremely tired and drained. You droop your head down, allowing all your hair to hang down. Your heart feels heavy and your throat hurts. You just want to cry. Your eyes widen when you see a pair of shoes stop in front of you. You slowly look up to see Chifuyu. He holds out his hand that's been wrapped up.
"You okay?" You softly ask.
"Mhm... are you?" He asks. You slowly look down not wanting to answer that. He places his hand on your head, gently rubbing it.
The two of you ride back to Shibuya by train. You hold your eyes close while the two of you sit on the train. When the two of you get off the train you both slowly make your way to the streets. You zone out as you both slowly walk down the sidewalk. You want to fall asleep and stay asleep for a long time.
"We should probably stay at my place tonight..." Chifuyu insists. You slowly nod not caring where you stayed for the night.
Once you both make it to his apartment complex, he unlocks the front door and motions you to walk in.
"My mom isn't home... She might be working overtime..." Chifuyu softly says. You slowly nod. He guides you to his room. You slowly walk in and sit down on his floor beside his bed. He takes off his hoodie and puts it up, then gently sits down beside you.
"Are you sure you're okay?" he softly asks. You slowly nod. "Yuki..."
"I'm just really tired." You quietly reply. Chifuyu nods and moves closer to you, wrapping his arms around you. You close your eyes and slowly wrap your arms around him.
