You lay on your back, staring at the ceiling. Boxes surrounding your bed. Hikari was unpacking her stuff. You lay motionless. Hikari grabs a box from out the closet and sets it down beside you.
"What's this?" Hikari asks. You slowly turn your head, seeing the box labeled Hanami Sato. You sit up, leaning forward a bit to get a better look at the box.
"Mom's stuff... I was able to keep some of her stuff- I kept the most important stuff..." You slowly say. Hikari opens the box and goes through it. She lifts up a picture of your mother. The same picture you saw a long time ago. You reach for the photo to see it better.
"... I hated that man-" Hikari quietly says. You look up at her. "He always hurt Hanami... and she did nothing but let him..." She huffs. You stare blankly at the box. You lay back down and sigh. Hikari puts the photo back into the box and closes it. She looks at you and takes a deep breath.
"... so have you decided yet...?"
"Decided what?" You quietly ask.
"If you are going to the mountains with grandma or staying here in Tokyo with me." She answers. You stare at the wall not really responding.
"I don't know yet..." You quietly answer. You close your eyes and slowly drift off into sleep. Hours pass and the light outside the window disappears. You slowly open your eyes to hear shuffling in your room. Your eyes slowly open to see a figure moving around your room. You flutter your eyes a bit to get a better look. You slowly sit up, squinting your eyes. The figure stops moving and looks at you.
You furrow your eyebrows and lean forward feeling confused. They move closer causing you to move back a bit. Your eyes widen when your see their earring dangle to the side as they move closer to you.
"I..zana?" You slowly say. They stop moving and smile. "How did you get in?" You ask, rubbing your eyes. Izana slowly opens the wrapper of a treat and breaks it in half, handing you the other half.
"Your aunt let me in." He softly answers. You take the other half of the treat and slowly take a bite from it. He watches as you eat it. "Have you eaten yet?" He asks.
"I think this is my first food today..." You calmly answer. He slowly nods and takes a bite from his half.
"Don't you have friends or anything- every time I see you... you are alone." He muffles. You sit still, drooping your hand down a bit. You relax your eyes and look down at the treat in your hand.
"I do- kinda..."
"Kinda?"
"I lost my first friends a while ago... then I made new ones- but I feel like all I do is hurt them." You softly reply, taking another bite of the treat. Izana slowly nods and shoves the rest of his half in his mouth. He stands up and wipes the crumbs off his hands. His cheeks look puffy and full. He swallows the food and looks at you. You stare at him. There's a bit of jelly on his cheek.
"I understand a bit... I've lost people too... but you shouldn't sit there and sulk." He calmly replies. You stare up at him and then furrow your eyebrows.
"Izana...?"
"Hmm?"
"Have you ever had a weird feeling- like you aren't supposed to be here... but for some reason you are here." You ask. Izana's eyes relax and his fists clench.
"Yeah-"
You look up at him again. You sit up on your knees leaning towards him. You lick your thumb and then wiped the jelly off his cheek. His eyes widen when you do. You show him the Jelly on your finger, licking it off your thumb. He watches you do so. He furrows his eyebrows and swallows hard.
After speaking to you for a bit he leaves. You lay in your bed, staring down at the pin Izana gave you.
'Can you teach me how to bake?' - Izana
You stare down at the pin thinking about his question... but not just his question- but him.
Izana walks down a pathway and then stops in front of a grave. The grave is labeled The Sano Family. He stares down at it and then sighs. Footsteps stop from beside him causing him to relax his eyes.
"I'm not going to kill her." He says. His eyes slowly drift towards Kisaki. Kisaki's eyes soften and he takes a deep breath.
"That's fine- I can do it myself." He slowly says.
"Kill her and I will kill you." Izana's eyes darken. Kisaki stares Izana in the eyes.
"If we don't get rid of her then-"
"Find another way." Izana calmly says walking past Kisaki.
"..."
"Once we defeat Toman- I'll resign... and bestow leadership to you..." Izana stops walking and smiles. "I'm going to be a baker." He says smiling back at Kisaki. He turns his head and continues walking off. Kisaki smiles and then starts laughing.
"That bitch-" he laughs. He stops laughing and looks down at the Sano Family grave. He takes a deep breath and looks over to Hanma who's smiling at him.
"Yuki has a way with winning peoples hearts." Hanma laughs.
"It's fine... this makes this all so much easier..." Kisaki implies.
"Hm?"
"If I break both Mikey and Izana... it will be just as easy to control the both of them..."
"Haha- gonna play dirty?" Hanma questions.
"Exactly that." Kisaki smiles. Hanma smiles too.
Days have passed and Izana visited more often. Just like how you assumed... it seems like he came to you in some sort of seeking or searching for help. You slowly mix the batter in the bowl in front of you. Izana stares down at the sheet of cookies in front of him.
"I thought cookies would look a bit more... you know- circular... these look like balls." Izana calmly says, furrowing his eyebrows a bit.
"That's because they don't have the usual stuff cookies have. Its actually healthier then a regular cookie... pick one up and try it." You softly imply. Izana looks at you and then back at the cookie. He pulls one off the sheet and takes a bite. His eyes widen and then soften. "Is it good?" You ask. He slowly nods. You smile and tilt your head. His phone vibrates in his pocket causing him to reach for it while stuffing the rest of the cookie in his mouth.
"Hello?" He stands still, a few feet from you. You stare at him a bit, holding the bowl of mixed batter in your hand. His eyes narrow and he slowly looks at you. "I have to go... I'll see you later." He smiles. You slowly nod watching him leave. You furrow your eyebrows thinking about how strange he is.
After you finish baking you place the baked goods in the cooler. You take a deep breath and sigh a bit. "This is a lot more work than I thought it would be..."
"So, this is what you've been doing on your free time." Your body stiffens. You slowly look to see who it is. Your eyes widen and your eyebrows furrow when you see him.
"Draken?" You say in a confused tone. He stares down at you.
"Are you free to leave?" He asks. You relax your eyes and look towards the baked stuff in the cooler.
"Mmm... I don't know- why?" You ask looking back at him. He stares at you not really giving you an answer. You stare at him for a while waiting for one. He takes a deep breath and leans back on the counter.
"Emma wants to talk to you..."
"Huh-" You look at him confused.
"Like I said... Emma wants to talk to you." You furrow your eyebrows and slowly take off the oven mitts. You wash your hands and slowly dry them with a blue towel.
"What does she want to talk about?"
"I don't know... but she's been yelling at Mikey about it... No one's been able to find you, so I went out my way to find you." He calmly answers.
"mmm... Like you should... she's your girl after all... I would expect a queen to be treated well by her king." You smile. Draken glares back at you. You smile still. He sighs and grabs your wrist, pulling you out from behind the counter and out the store.
"Wait- where are we going?" You question.
"To go see Emma..." He says, pulling you outside. You stop walking when you see Mikey sitting on his bike. He stares at you with a dull but relaxed expression on his face. You furrow your eyebrows and glare back at Draken.
"YUKI!" A voice shouts. You stare in the direction to see Hina.
"Hina?" You question. She quickly shuffles over to you and wraps her arms around you.
"I've missed you so so SOOOOOOO MUCH!" She shouts. You hug her back. It's been a while.
"Come on... Emma is waiting." Draken motions to the both of you. Hina nods and walks towards Draken's motorcycle.
"Wait- where do you want me to sit?" You ask looking at both Hina and Draken. Draken looks back at you.
"Ride with Mikey." He answers. You furrow your eyebrows and look towards Mikey who's leaning forward on his bike, resting his head on his arms. You slowly walk towards his bike and stop beside him. He slowly opens his eyes and looks at you.
"Hm?" He hums. You relax your eyes and take a deep breath.
"Can I ride with you?" You ask. He smiles and tilts his head a bit.
"Of course." He soothes. You furrow your eyebrows and slowly get on the bike. "Hold on to me..." He says. You lightly wrap your arms around him.
The cool air hitting your face as the motorcycles rip through the air feels so nice. The air smells so nice. It's blossom season.
Once you all arrive at the Sano residence. You felt a tightness in your chest. You follow behind Mikey as he leads you and Hina towards Emma's room.
"Emma- I've brought them..." Mikey softly says through the door. You hear a thud and the door slightly open.
"Where are they?" Emma questions. Mikey moves to the side to show you and Hina. Her eyes widen and her smile grows. She grabs both your arms, yanking you both into her room and shutting her door behind her. Mikey stands still behind the door. His eyes relax and he sighs.
"..."
Emma lets go of the both of you and smiles, tears fill her eyes.
"It's been so long." She shivers. You look at her confused. She squeezes the both of you and begins to bawl. "AHHHHH! DON'T LEAVE ME ALONE WITH A BUNCH OF BOOOYYYSSS!" She cries out. You look at Hina who is looking at you confused.
