Mila didn't get the answer she wanted, if it was normal for a man to move closer to the mic, even making a reporter smile. And the frustration killed her so much that she kept trying to ask Lacie, but her sister would only hang up if she got confused.
Giving up and with evening drawing near, Mila had her bath and asked that dinner be served to her room. She wanted to be able to wait for Zyran. She noticed that the servants stayed up late if she did. Before, she thought it was a kind gesture from their end, but now that she knew that most of them sent back information to Delphine, Mila decided to be even more careful.
Done with bathing and Zyran still wasn't back from work, Mila picked up her phone to call Lacie again, but she clicked on another name.
"Ash..." Mila muttered. She almost forgot the girl had asked her to call her after they left the island. Mila dialed the number, and in two rings, Ashley picked, her background a little noisy.
"Ash...it's me...Mila."
