Chapter 101 - Pig Demon

I was a little curious about what exactly Gennaro had seen on the monitor. Why was he so frightened?

Gennaro paused as he spoke, his face pale, before finally mustering the courage to say, "I saw myself on the monitor!"

Saw himself? I grew even more puzzled. He had a room in that hotel - wasn't it normal for him to appear on the surveillance footage?

Gennaro said I didn't understand - he meant that the only person visible on the monitor was himself!

I sucked in a sharp breath and suddenly realized: he had gone with Kaahn to get a room, but the surveillance only showed Gennaro alone!

That meant... Gennaro had encountered something supernatural. Kaahn was a ghost, which explained why only Gennaro appeared in the surveillance footage.

Gennaro said when he saw the monitor, it made his scalp tingle with fear. The footage showed him talking to himself, though clearly there was no one opposite him. He appeared to be speaking to empty air. Both instances of the room's surveillance looked like this - terrifying enough to make people break out in cold sweat.

Gennaro thought that after deleting Kaahn's WeChat, he could pretend nothing had happened. But bizarrely, Kaahn's WeChat reappeared unharmed in Gennaro's contact list.

Even more frightening, Kaahn was messaging him again on WeChat. Gennaro desperately tried to delete it, but nothing worked. The WeChat account seemed possessed, and Kaahn even said he would come to Gennaro's home in person.

Gennaro was so terrified her legs went weak. She pleaded with Kaahn to let her go, but Kaahn told Gennaro not to be afraid - she wasn't going to eat Gennaro. She insisted on visiting Gennaro regardless, saying there was no escape - not after he had slept with Kaahn twice.

Terrified, Gennaro uninstalled the WeChat app, but it didn't help. Kaahn still came. At midnight, there was suddenly a knock on Gennaro's door.

Through the peephole, Gennaro saw Kaahn - the same fat Kaahn, her flabby face large enough to block the entire peephole.

Gennaro's voice trembled with fear as she begged Kaahn to leave her alone, promising never to do it again!

Online dating is risky. Some people meet unattractive women, but Gennaro's case was even more outrageous - she had actually met a ghost.

Kaahn refused to leave and kept knocking, demanding Gennaro open the door. But how could Gennaro dare? This was a ghost - opening the door could be disastrous.

After ten minutes of stalemate, the noise at the door suddenly stopped. Gennaro wiped sweat from her forehead and looked through the peephole again.

At that moment, Gennaro saw a pig-headed monster standing outside. It roared and opened its disgusting, bloody maw right at the peephole.

Gennaro couldn't withstand the shock—his eyelids fluttered, and he fainted.

When he woke up the next morning, he was stunned. Nothing seemed amiss at first, but his body felt sore and weak, his clothes were off, and he had the unsettling feeling that he had been… violated.

Looking at the door, the lock appeared to have been forcibly broken. Someone must have broken in. Gennaro immediately understood—perhaps Kaahn had forced her way inside and taken advantage of his unconscious state to do… that to him.

Recalling stories from Liao Zhai, Gennaro grew terrified. He had heard that if a man slept with a female ghost, she would drain his essence until his yang qi was exhausted, leading to death. Could this be what was happening to him? Was Kaahn, this evil ghost, greedily consuming his yang qi?

Gennaro refused to sit around waiting for death. Since he couldn't deal with this female ghost himself, he sought out a master to handle it. After some twists and turns, he came to me, hoping my Tattoos of Gods and Ghosts could help exorcise her.

If it were just a ghost, things would be simpler—my tattoos were particularly effective at banishing spirits. But according to Gennaro, Kaahn might not be a ghost!

Gennaro was puzzled. "If she's not a ghost, then what is she? She doesn't appear on surveillance, and she suddenly turned into a terrifying pig-headed monster. Kaahn is definitely not human—I'm sure of it!"

Stein interjected, "Let me put it this way—if Kaahn were a ghost, she wouldn't have needed to break in that night. Normal spirits can pass through walls. A door wouldn't stop a ghost; she could have entered anytime she wanted."

I agreed. "In that case, Kaahn probably isn't a ghost. But she's not human either—otherwise, she would've appeared on the surveillance footage."

Gennaro spread his hands in confusion. "Then what is she?"

I shook my head, indicating I didn't know. I'd have to see for myself. But Stein had a theory—Kaahn might be a pig demon, and one in the throes of puberty at that.

Stein's words made sense. Given the fat Kaahn's appearance and her sudden transformation into a pig-headed monster, calling her a pig demon wasn't far-fetched. Besides, no normal human could endure seven rounds in one night—but if she were a pig demon, that would explain it.

Still, I had never heard of a pig becoming a demon. Generally, animals that live long enough can develop spiritual power, but pigs are usually slaughtered while still young and plump—old pork isn't tasty. How could a pig even become a demon? This theory still needed verification.

There was another problem: fat Kaahn and loli Kaahn might not be the same entity.

If fat Kaahn was a pig demon, that would explain her forcing her way into Gennaro's home. But loli Kaahn… might very well be a ghost.

One pig demon and one ghost—Gennaro was lucky to be haunted by both. I doubted things would be easy for him.

When Gennaro heard this, he grew even more frightened. He slapped himself and cursed, "I was just trying to have some fun with online dating, and now I've gotten myself into trouble! Who knows what kind of demons and monsters I've attracted?"

I shook my head. "This has nothing to do with online dating. The real problem is your own lack of self-control. You saw how disgusting fat Kaahn was, yet you still went for her—seven times over a bowl of spicy hot pot! You've got no standards at all."

"If you'd run away the moment you saw her, none of this would've happened."

Gennaro had no rebuttal. Under my scolding, he could only slap himself again in frustration.

I quickly stopped him. "No need to repent to me—I'm not Jesus. Pay me, and I'll do the tattoo for you. You don't need to be afraid. If Kaahn were truly some horrifying demon or evil spirit, you wouldn't have survived this long."

The tricky part was, I still didn't know what Gennaro had actually messed with. I needed to figure out which Tattoo of Gods and Ghosts would work.

If it was just a demon, there were suppression tattoos for that. If it was a ghost, things were even easier—an exorcism tattoo would do. For something like a Yaksha or Rakshasa, we could pick accordingly.

After some thought, I decided to visit Gennaro's house. The question was, when would Kaahn show up? I asked Gennaro, "Can you invite her over?"

Gennaro's face turned pale. He immediately jumped up from the couch. "W-what?! Invite her here?! I-I wouldn't dare!"

I rolled my eyes. "What are you afraid of? We're here. Even if there are any demons or ghosts, we can always… take you with us when we run."

"We need to confirm what she is first. Only then can we deal with her properly and choose the right tattoo. Otherwise, how am I supposed to handle this?"

At first, Gennaro was dead set against it, but after some persuasion, he reluctantly agreed.

Before it got too late, I told him to message Kaahn and arrange for her to come over that night.

Gennaro gulped, then nervously pulled out his phone. His hands shook as he opened WeChat, fingers trembling as he typed. Surprisingly, he succeeded—Kaahn agreed to come at 10 p.m. It was already 9, so we had to hurry.

"Let's get to your place before she arrives," I said. "Just make sure she doesn't notice us."

Gennaro, still terrified, led us to his apartment. By the time we arrived, it was 9:30. With 10 o'clock approaching, Stein and Antonio tried to distract Gennaro with small talk, but he was too frightened to focus. His face was pale, his replies half-hearted—clearly, Kaahn had traumatized him.

Meanwhile, I took a look around Gennaro's place.

He wasn't just a loser—he was a full-on geek. His room was sparse, but one thing caught my attention: a basketball under the table.

At first glance, it seemed ordinary, but it was heavier and slightly larger than a standard basketball. When I bounced it, there was no elasticity—just a dull thud, as if something was inside.

Something inside the basketball? What could be hidden in there?

Though curious, I couldn't just open someone else's belongings. I put it back where I found it.

"Typical geek behavior," I thought. "Probably something embarrassing—why else hide it so carefully? Well, those who get it, get it."

After a while, I lost interest and lay down on the sofa, scrolling through my phone until 10 p.m.

Kaahn was punctual. The moment the clock struck ten, there was a knock at the door.

Gennaro immediately shrank back, trembling in fear. He didn't even dare to check the peephole, so I had Antonio do it.

After a quick glance, Antonio whispered urgently, "It's a fat woman!"
