Chapter 37 - Chapter 35: The Final Battle

The battle began.

Flames surged. Magic clashed. The Demon King fought like a divine monster.

Lucian was pushed back—bloodied, panting.

And then—it happened.

The blessings came.

From the God of Day, God of Night, Goddess of Prosperity—divine light shone down from the heavens. Not intervention, but permission.

Lucian's body ignited with radiant energy.

He fought like something reborn. He countered demonic runes with divine sigils. He shattered spells with raw strikes. He dodged faster than shadow and hit harder than thunder.

But it wasn't enough.

The Demon King laughed, eyes mad with grief. "FUCK YOU, GODS! FUCK YOUR BLESSINGS! WHERE WERE YOU WHEN SHE DIED?!"

Lucian stood, panting. "Pain doesn't justify evil. Rage won't bring them back. Nothing does."

The Demon King paused. Shaking.

"…So that's why I failed," he murmured.

Then, he looked at Seraphine.

"Please… take care of my daughter."

Seraphine burst into tears, collapsing beside her father. "Papa…"
