Chapter 664 - Chapter 916 - Pursuit

After ensuring all his Pokémon were prepared, Aoki channeled his psychic powers through his hands.

The success of this mission would determine whether these priceless Key Stones and Mega Evolution stones could be safely acquired.

In truth, obtaining the stones wasn't the difficult part—the real challenge lay in escaping undetected without revealing his identity.

Fortunately, even if discovered, his affiliation with Team Rocket would remain hidden.

Once his Pokémon signaled the all-clear, Aoki steeled himself and phased through the wave-force barrier, swiftly storing everything in his dimensional pack.

Success!

Retreat!

The moment Aoki breached the barrier, Korrina's grandfather, Cocobul—a wizened man with long white eyebrows framing his cheeks—snapped awake in his quarters atop the Tower of Mastery.

Though aged, Cocobul's decades as a Fighting-type Trainer kept him sharp. He somersaulted from bed, seized two Poké Balls from his nightstand, and bolted barefoot toward the study—too late.

The intruder had already triggered the wave-force alarm.

Sprinting down the corridor, Cocobul's instincts flared. He hurled the Poké Balls without breaking stride.

"Blaziken! Lucario!"

The two Pokémon materialized just as a Gengar lunged from the shadows. Cocobul's scowl deepened.

Ghost-types. They anticipated my team.

"Blaziken, Flamethrower! Lucario, Aura Sphere!"

Gengar retaliated with twin Shadow Balls before melting into the walls, fleeing toward the study.

BOOM!

The collision of attacks shook the tower. Lights flickered on across the island as shouts erupted. Footsteps pounded toward the upper floors.

Aoki, now clutching the stolen stones, dashed to the window. As Gengar seeped back into his shadow, he recalled Weavile—still reinforcing the ice-sealed door—and leapt into the night, clinging to Honchkrow's talons.

Wind whipped his face as they veered toward the distant forest. If they reached the trees, they'd vanish.

Fighting-type specialists rarely trained fliers. Escape was assured—

CRASH!

The study door exploded inward, flames devouring the room. Cocobul didn't care about collateral damage now.

At the window, the old man glimpsed a shadowy figure retreating across the lake. His stomach dropped.

They took the stones.

But how? Only bloodline heirs knew their purpose.

Behind him, his son, Koler, charged in.

"Father!"

Spotting the fleeing intruder, Koler vaulted through the window, releasing his Heracross mid-fall. He landed on its back and gave chase.

Cocobul's outstretched hand faltered. The stones were irreplaceable.

Yet dread coiled in his gut.

Something's wrong.

Aoki glanced back. Heracross? Damn.

He originally thought that no one would chase him, but I didn't expect that there was someone who had a Heracross.

And the speed is not slow.

There was a cold light in Aoki's eyes. At this time, it was the best for them not to chase him because Aoki would do anything to get away and cover up his identity.

He didn't know who was chasing him. If it was Cocobul, he would definitely not choose to fight and would run as fast as he could.

Judging from the speed with which it blasted through the frozen wall created by Weavile just now, the strength of that Blaziken has already reached champion level strength.

In the darkness, there were two figures, one in front and one behind, flying out of the refining tower and flying towards the forest on the opposite bank.

Honchkrow was very fast and landed on the ground in less than three minutes.

Aoki did not stop and went straight into the dense jungle after landing.

But Koler's Heracross is not slow either. It is his main Pokemon and its strength is still very good.

After landing, he threw another Poké Ball, and a white Pokémon appeared, Mienshao!

"Mienshao, search for the scent!"

As a weasel, although its nose is not as sensitive as a dog's, its ability to distinguish smells is still quite outstanding.

After Mienshao appeared, he sniffed the smell on the ground and then quickly took Koler into the woods.

Chasing in the direction Aoki ran.

There was a cold glint in Koler's eyes.

He saw the decline of his family, but he had no way to save it because he, like his father, was not a talented trainer.

With the full support of his family, his father finally reached the champion level, but he no longer has this opportunity.

Fortunately, God has not completely given up on their family. His daughter, the young Korrina, has amazing talent. As long as Korrina can grow up normally, their family may prosper again in the future.

What he has to do now is to take back the important inheritance of the family!

Those things that can allow Lucario to evolve are the most important inheritance of their family, and are also the key to his daughter Korrina inheriting mega evolution.

As a father and a clan member, this is his responsibility!
