Aoki originally intended to remain within Verdanturf Town for a period of time to organize the information obtained from Team Rocket and the League, subsequently devising the most suitable training methods for his own Pokémon. However, it now appeared there was no time for such an endeavor.
He proceeded to the small diamond cave in the backyard to collect all the diamonds produced there during this period. This quantity was certainly insufficient for both Tyranitar and Aggron, but if they consumed them sparingly, the supply should last for a while. He had a hunch that the small diamond fragments were nearing a complete transformation, and upon that event, there might very well be an endless supply of diamonds to consume.
Fortunately, the private jet had not yet taken off. Faced with the pilot's surprised expression, Aoki requested a direct flight to the Kalos region. The pilots did not dare to ask too many questions and simply performed their jobs honestly. It was at this moment that Aoki discovered the benefits of power and money. The class system was awful, yet possessing such influence was still somewhat advantageous.
The Kalos region was quite distant from the Hoenn region. Even with the speed of a private jet, the journey would take more than a single day. This coincidentally allowed Aoki time to review the information within the system on the plane, hoping to find something that could inspire him.
...
Upon arrival in the Kalos region, specifically in Miare City, Aoki dismissed the jet. After a brief stroll through the city, he made his way towards the base of Team Flare. Ensuring that no one had noticed his presence, he had Slowking use Teleport to arrive just outside the Team Flare base. His outfit had been completely replaced, and his face was now obscured by a psychic membrane. As a high-level psychic, Aoki was confident that only someone of Sabrina's caliber could potentially see through the psychic disguise and discern his true appearance.
At the base entrance, having announced his arrival beforehand, he was greeted by someone. A portly man with a small tuft of red hair on his head smiled at Aoki and said, "Reverend Pastor, welcome back."
"Mr. Kuserowski," Aoki nodded, his voice intentionally hoarse to mask his real age.
Kuserowski appeared very respectful, though the true depth of his respect was unknown. He had always followed Lysandre and did not understand Lysandre's considerable admiration for Aoki. "Lord Lysandre has been waiting for a long time," Kuserowski said with a smile.
Aoki nodded, motioning for him to lead the way. He was well aware of Kuserowski's thoughts. But as long as Lysandre remained in charge, Kuserowski could cause no real trouble. Regarding the other members of Team Flare, Aoki also had methods to manage them.
Led by Kuserowski, they arrived at Lysandre's office. "Mr. Pastor," Lysandre said, looking at Aoki before walking forward with a smile. He opened his arms in welcome, but Aoki stopped him with a gesture, preferring to avoid physical contact. Lysandre was not angered and instead invited Aoki to sit down.
"Mr. Pastor, I was wondering what your business is on the Nibel Plateau? In the history of the Kalos region, the Nibel Plateau is known as the Forgotten Land, a place where many Pokémon forgotten by human Trainers reside," Lysandre inquired.
"Mr. Lysandre, have you forgotten what I showed you last time?" Aoki asked in response, rather than answering directly.
Hearing this, Lysandre frowned slightly, as if recalling something unpleasant. He nodded heavily. "I see."
"As far as I am aware, not far from the Nibel Plateau, there exists a kingdom called Azoth. This kingdom, much like the Nibel Plateau itself, is isolated from modern civilization," Aoki explained. "Its development has followed a path entirely different from modern society. They specialize in machinery and mystical sciences, which are of significant importance to us and will be of great assistance to our future plans." After a brief pause, he continued, "The first step is to locate the Azoth Kingdom and send agents to infiltrate it. I have a particular interest in one of its inhabitants. Once your agents are inside, they are to help me find this person."
"Oh? Such a place exists?" Lysandre expressed surprise. He had not expected a region within Kalos to be developing such mysterious sciences. As for how Aoki came by this knowledge, Lysandre had already formed his own conclusion: it must have come from 'above'. Lysandre was convinced of this.
Aoki had already prepared an explanation, but seeing that Lysandre did not press for details saved him the trouble. Had he known Lysandre's thoughts, Aoki would have certainly mused on the advantages of being a charlatan.
Kuserowski stood respectfully behind Lysandre, observing the communication between the two men without interruption. He held little personal interest in this 'mystical science'; no matter how mysterious it was, could it truly compare to the technology of contemporary society?
"Provide me with the precise location of the Nibel Plateau. I will investigate it myself," Aoki stated.
Lysandre nodded and retrieved a small device from his desk drawer. Its screen displayed a map of the Kalos region, with the location of the Nibel Plateau marked by a red dot. Aoki did not linger; he chose to depart immediately. Team Flare was still in its developmental stages, with many preparations necessary, and Aoki did not have sufficient Pokémon to involve himself in these myriad trivial matters.
Lysandre did not press him to stay and watched as Aoki left. After Aoki had disappeared from the office, the scheming Kuserowski, who stood behind Lysandre, finally spoke up. "Mr. Lysandre, why do you hold the Reverend Pastor in such high esteem?"
This was a question he had long wished to ask, and Aoki's appearance provided the natural opportunity to voice it.
Hearing Kuserowski's question, Lysandre paused for a moment before replying, "Because... of the future."
"The future?" Kuserowski repeated the words, perplexed.
By this time, Aoki had already mounted his Flygon and disappeared into the mountains and forests. Seeing Lysandre today had been a genuine surprise for Aoki; he had not anticipated that the seeds planted during their last encounter could yield such substantial results.
"It seems I truly need to pay more attention to the influence of dreams," Aoki thought to himself. It was an effective method, but achieving the desired effect required numerous prerequisites. The most crucial element was understanding the other party's weaknesses—their character and their desires. Only by showing them what they wished to see, and then gradually hypnotizing and guiding them, could an effect like the one achieved with Lysandre be produced. Simply put, Lysandre's obsession was exceptionally powerful, and Aoki had merely seized upon this obsession and subtly altered its focus. This type of alteration was undetectable by any instrument, device, or ability.
