Chapter 993 - Chapter 1248 - A Bone Dragon

Tyranitar had a blast fighting.

Aoki didn't participate in the entire process; he just let Tyranitar fight on its own.

As for Gardevoir, standing beside Aoki, she scoffed at Tyranitar and the others' close-quarters combat.

It was only because Tyranitar was her companion and ultimately won that Gardevoir didn't express much.

Afterward, they didn't encounter many battles.

Aoki, Tyranitar, and Gardevoir arrived at the end of Dragon Mountain, which was the location of the Dragon Burial Ground.

The closer they got to the Dragon Burial Ground, the fewer Dragon-type Pokémon there were, and the less frequently they appeared.

This was the gathering place for non-Dragon-type Pokémon; only here could they appear in groups without being attacked.

However, overall, the Pokémon here were not very high-leveled and couldn't pose much of a threat to Aoki.

They reached a cliff, looking down at a place filled with jagged rocks, devoid of any vegetation, and even permeated by a lot of white mist—this was where the Dragon Burial Ground was located.

Standing there, Aoki, as a Psychic, and Gardevoir, a Psychic/Fairy type, both felt a bit uncomfortable.

Everywhere, there was a large amount of Ghost-type energy and boundless death ki.

In stark contrast to the bustling activity elsewhere, there wasn't even a single mosquito here, let alone Pokémon.

This graveyard, accumulated over an unknown number of years, was such that even if a normal Pokémon entered and lived there for a period, let alone a dying one, it would gradually transform into a Ghost-type Pokémon as it unintentionally absorbed large amounts of Ghost-type energy over time.

This also signified death.

From Aoki's shadow, Gengar quietly emerged.

Unlike Aoki and Gardevoir, he felt very comfortable here.

Aoki smiled slightly; entering for a short time wasn't a big problem. With psychic abilities assisting and Gengar absorbing Ghost-type energy, it wouldn't affect them much.

As for Genji's reminder not to enter the Dragon Burial Ground, Aoki didn't take it to heart.

The Dragon Burial Ground was not to be entered, to a certain extent, because the energy within posed a great threat to living beings.

And also, it was certainly because it contained the skeletons of dragon ancestors, and entering casually would be disrespectful to the ancestors.

But precisely because of this, Aoki felt he had to go in.

This space has existed for an unknown number of years, and the Dragon Burial Ground must have existed for roughly the same amount of time. So, how many good things would be found within this Dragon Burial Ground?

Aoki held respect for the Dragon Burial Ground, but that didn't mean awe.

He recalled Tyranitar and Gardevoir.

He leaped off the cliff, his clothes flapping as he descended, clearly feeling the surrounding air gradually grow colder.

The Ghost-type energy was also gradually becoming denser.

Thud—

His feet landed, making a crisp sound.

Other than that, there was no sound around; everywhere exuded a deathly silence.

In such a place, there would certainly be a large number of Ghost-type Pokémon, but due to Gengar's presence, ordinary Ghost-type Pokémon generally wouldn't get too close. Those that dared to approach would not be weak.

Walking towards the very center of the Dragon Burial Ground, he saw many skeletons and bone frames along the way, which appeared very complete and undamaged from their appearance.

On the way, he occasionally saw some special plants stuck in rock crevices.

These were plants that could only grow in special environments, important raw materials for making Ghost-type Pokémon items, and also some of the ingredients for making energy cubes for Ghost-type Pokémon.

Whenever Aoki saw these materials, he would collect them all.

This place was simply a treasure trove for Ghost-type Pokémon; these things were everywhere, so Gengar and Mismagius wouldn't have to worry about food in the future.

Even before reaching the center of the Dragon Burial Ground, Aoki had already made a fortune.

"Jie jie!!"

However, when a person is very happy, some unwanted things always appear.

For example, now, when Aoki transformed into a true little mushroom picker, Gengar, who was guarding beside him, suddenly cried out.

Aoki's expression changed, and he suddenly looked up.

His psychic power had been continuously spreading, and he hadn't sensed the presence of any Pokémon, but Gengar had discovered something.

That left only two possibilities: one was that the opponent was still outside Aoki's psychic perception range, but Gengar had noticed an anomaly.

Or, the opponent could block Aoki's psychic perception, and only Gengar had discovered them.

But after seeing Gengar's serious expression, Aoki felt it might be the second case.

The surrounding Ghost-type energy suddenly became dense, accompanied by a large amount of death ki.

Aoki's entire body broke out in goosebumps, like a very sharp dagger was hovering back and forth over his arm, giving him the chilling sensation that a single cut could sever his entire arm.

Thump—Thump—

From the white mist, a figure slowly emerged.

Seeing the approaching entity, Aoki's pupils suddenly contracted.

What did Aoki see?

A bone dragon?

Are there such Pokémon in the Pokémon world?

And looking at the bone dragon's appearance and skeleton, it resembled a Salamence.

Is this a Salamence's skeleton!?

Is there some Pokémon attached to this skeleton?

"Jie jie!!" Gengar appeared in front of Aoki, calling out to the skeleton, telling it not to approach further, or he would attack.

Two Shadow Balls had already condensed in his hands, ready to be launched.

Seeing the Shadow Balls in Gengar's hands, the bone dragon's steps suddenly halted.

Aoki stared at the bone dragon's skull.

Because he saw that a Mega Stone was embedded in a crack on the skull!

Although he didn't know which Pokémon's Mega Stone it was, Aoki was sure it was one he hadn't obtained yet, so it might be usable by his own Pokémon.

At this time, Aoki still had many Pokémon that could Mega Evolve but lacked Mega Stones.

Swampert, Gardevoir, the evolved Salamence, and the evolved Lucario—whether these four Pokémon could Mega Evolve, their effects and differences were still very significant.

Buzz—

Two red eyes appeared in the bone dragon's dark eye sockets, staring intently at Aoki and Gengar, who stood in front of Aoki.

With a flip of his hand, several Poké Balls appeared in his grasp.

Originally, if it could be avoided, Aoki didn't want to cause more trouble.

But now that there was a Mega Stone, a battle was necessary.

He threw the Poké Balls, and Honchkrow, Slowking, Weavile, Drapion, and Florges appeared.

Including Gengar, who was with him from the start, Aoki's first-tier six Pokémon were once again gathered, facing the unknown Pokémon.

No matter what Pokémon it was disguised as, it was definitely a Ghost-type Pokémon, which would certainly be weak to Dark-type.

Honchkrow and Weavile also didn't have to worry about being exposed here.
