When Silas and Orian reached the palace, they both came out from the carriage and stepped into the palace. But it was a little quiet, which was really unexpected, because they had expected Jeren to be in the main hall to welcome them.
"Silas, where is Dad?" Orian asked.
But Silas also didn't know where Jeren was right now. "I don't know. Let's just check in his study."
They both went to the study. Silas tried to open the door but he stopped and knocked on the door. And when he heard "come in", he opened the door and they both stepped inside. But they couldn't believe their eyes after what they saw. Jeren was sitting there with Ariel.
At first glance, both of them didn't recognize Ariel. Just then they remembered that Ariel was the one they saw last time coming out of Jeren's study. And seeing them sitting together, they caught on that Ariel must be Jeren's ex—the one he was talking about last night.
"Ohh. My dear sons, you both are here. Come and have a seat."
