The children left the parlour, the door closing behind them.
They left the palace towards the stables.
Even before Ivan reached, Shadowfax had already began making his way towards him.
He lowered his head and rubbed his head on Ivan's neck.
"Shadow," Ivan reached out to stroke his fine mane. "I want to introduce you to someone."
'Who?' Shadowfax asked curiously, raising his head to look at the people with his human.
On seeing Aristia looking at him, he turned his face away with a huff.
[What a bad daemon, keeping a grudge even now.] Aristia rolled her eyes.
Shadowfax's gaze left Aristia, moving to look at the daemon in her arms.
'Is that the one you want to introduce me to?' Shadowfax asked Ivan.
Ivan followed his gaze and nodded, looking back at him.
'Yes. She's Tia's daemon.'
Shadowfax raised his left foot in surprise.

He looked at Millie, meeting her eyes.
