Before dark, the mysterious fog rose again.
Lette stood atop the roof, observing the increasingly dense fog, his brows deeply furrowed.
"Today, the fog appeared ten minutes earlier again."
Lilith, standing beside him, nodded slightly: "It seems that killing one of the weird creatures has boosted the people's confidence, but it hasn't stopped the fog from descending.
In fact, it doesn't seem to have had any effect at all."
Lette pondered for a moment: "It will eventually show its flaw. A lie is called a lie because it has flaws.
When a lie approaches perfection, that's when it collapses.
I call it the 'Lie Collapse Theory.'"
"Master Theorist, it's time to sleep."
"Wait a moment, wait a moment..."
Lilith's little face immediately fell: "Either it works or it doesn't, what does 'wait a moment' mean?"
"Ah!?"
Lette became suddenly angry, directly tucking Lilith under his arm, jumping off the roof and heading towards his room.
