Henry's body trembled, but he didn't make a sound while drenching my shoulder with his tears.
I felt absolutely helpless, being confronted with the especially raw feelings I knew him for.
"I'm sorry. It's alright." I continued to stroke his back and tried to hold him tight enough for him to cease his shaking.
"..." I didn't really know what to do.
"...Do you want another collar?" I asked him dumbly.
He chuckled hoarsely and shook his head against my neck.
"I already have mine," he whispered.
"Then what can I do for you to stop crying?" I asked back.
"I am not crying." Again with the whispering, as if I wouldn't notice that he tried to hide his crying voice.
"Okay. Then do you want to eat something good? I can still conjure up things, right?" I waited for his answer, but he just nodded.
No idea what question he answered with his nodding, though.
