"Even though she's from the Nelsen family, she acted like some country girl who's never gone out before. Was she that desperate to show off all her jewelry?"
"Don't you know? She was only found by the Nelsen family when she was already grown. Maybe she really was a country girl before."
"No wonder she doesn't seem to have the same presence as the three young masters of the Nelsen family. What do you think Mr. Wilson sees in her? Why would he give her such a grand engagement party?"
"You think this party is for her? Have you ever seen a more low-key engagement party?"
Only then did everyone begin to realize how strange today's engagement really was. The bride-to-be didn't make a grand entrance. She wasn't accompanied by her future husband with affection or attention. Camille had simply entered the venue like any regular guest.
This event seemed more like Daniel formally introducing his children to society, rather than celebrating an engagement.
