Philip had noticed Daniel was drenched in blood when they first got back. However, Daniel kept giving him that "don't ask" look. Over and over. So Philip kept his mouth shut. He didn't ask anymore.
When Philip heard Oscar mention that Daniel had been beaten up, he immediately rushed over. He even tried to pull Daniel's collar open to check for injuries.
Daniel slapped his hand away quickly. "What are you doing?"
Philip was stunned and felt offended. "Come on, Daniel. We're close friends. I just want to check your injuries. Why are you looking at me like I'm some kind of pervert?"
He was really worried, but Daniel's reaction stung more than he expected.
I'm worried about you. Why would you even think of me as a pervert? Philip thought silently.
"My wife is here. Be mindful where you put your hands." Daniel said it with confidence. Daniel was scared Chantelle would fire back at him, so he shot her a loaded look.
