Chapter 332 - CH: 330 President Yan's boyfriend!

{Chapter: 330 President Yan's boyfriend!}

Because Lin Yuan rubbed her shoulders without any warning, Yan Ruyue was completely unprepared for the sensation. The sudden, firm pressure against her tense muscles caught her off guard, and her breath escaped her lips in a soft, melodious moan that carried an unexpected charm. The sound, though brief, was a little louder than she would have liked.

Fortunately, her office was located on the topmost floor of the building—completely private and sealed off from the hustle and bustle below. No other employees worked on this floor, which gave her some reassurance.

Or so she thought.

Just outside, Xiaoyun was still waiting for the elevator to arrive. The mechanical hum of the building was interrupted by what sounded like a faint, almost dreamy noise echoing from the office behind her. Her ears twitched at the strange sound, and her eyes widened just a bit.

'What was that? Did I just hear President Yan make that sound?'

A blush crept onto Xiaoyun's cheeks as her thoughts began to drift.

'What exactly are President Yan and Young Master Lin doing in there…? Could it be that…'

Her mind raced as she imagined all sorts of scenarios that might be playing out inside the office. Of course, her imagination quickly ran wild, even though she knew her boss as a calm and disciplined person. Still, that voice…

Back inside the office, Lin Yuan was simply giving Yan Ruyue a therapeutic massage.

Of course, the level of comfort she felt at the moment was something quite different—intimate, real, and very much palpable. In fact, it wasn't far from the overwhelming feelings she had experienced in her dreams, the ones where Lin Yuan had taken over not just her thoughts but her entire heart.

But dreams were fantasies. This massage, this gentle and considerate contact—it was reality.

Every stroke from Lin Yuan's hands seemed to melt her stress away. It was not just her shoulders that felt warm; her heart, too, was filling with a quiet sweetness she hadn't felt in a long time.

A soft mechanical chime rang out in Lin Yuan's mind:

[Ding! Yan Ruyue's favorability +2! Reward: 800 counterattack points!]

Lin Yuan was calm, unsurprised by the notification. This was all part of his plan, part of the system's guidance, and part of the careful strategy he'd developed over time.

He continued to press against the tight muscles of her back with both hands, kneading them skillfully for another thirty seconds or so. Then, shifting smoothly, he switched to using one hand, freeing the other to take out his phone.

It was time to resolve the first major issue—sourcing facial mask sheets from a reliable manufacturer.

Noticing the change in his rhythm and seeing the phone in his hand, Yan Ruyue quickly understood what he was up to.

She sat up a little straighter, brushing aside the waves of warmth the massage had stirred in her. Her eyes remained on Lin Yuan, silently watching as he made the call.

Lin Yuan dialed a number and waited briefly before someone answered.

"Hello? Cao Yaqing? Boss Cao?" Lin Yuan said.

"Yes, speaking. May I know who this is and what this call is regarding?" a voice on the other end responded, polite but wary.

"This is Lin Yuan. Our company is currently seeking a supplier for facial mask sheets. I understand that your company specializes in high-quality production in that area. I'd like to propose a business partnership. Our company is Yanyue."

"Oh, Yanyue Company? Of course!" Cao Yaqing's voice brightened immediately. A new client approaching out of the blue—especially one from a reputable company—was always a good sign.

"When could you begin supplying the materials?" Lin Yuan asked directly, cutting to the chase.

"Once the contract is signed and the specifications are confirmed, we can deliver a small batch in about three days. For a larger supply, it would take around seven days," Cao responded with confidence.

"Perfect. I'll have someone from our company visit you shortly to finalize the contract," Lin Yuan said, his voice steady and commanding.

"Understood! We'll prepare everything," Cao replied enthusiastically. It wasn't every day someone with such a composed tone and decisive attitude reached out. Clearly, Lin Yuan was one of the greatest players.

After exchanging a few more logistical details, Lin Yuan ended the call.

He turned back to Yan Ruyue with a calm smile on his face.

"Problem solved. That's one crisis off your plate," he said casually, as if he hadn't just saved the day.

However, Yan Ruyue's brow furrowed slightly as she processed the conversation.

"Wait… it's true the supply is coming, but they won't be able to deliver anything for at least three days. By then, it might be too late for us to replenish our stocks. The shortage could damage our reputation."

Lin Yuan remained composed. "Don't worry. I anticipated that."

He placed the phone down gently and continued, "Actually, I had someone investigate alternative suppliers ahead of time. Out of all of them, Boss Cao's company not only offered the best quality but also had the most trustworthy reputation in the industry."

"So you've already checked everything…" Yan Ruyue murmured, both surprised and reassured.

She looked at Lin Yuan with a new level of admiration in her eyes. He wasn't just giving her temporary comfort. He was taking real steps to stabilize her company and her future.

"But the situation right now is that the supply of facial mask sheets is far too scarce," Yan Ruyue said anxiously, her voice tinged with frustration. "I'm afraid we simply don't have enough stock to last that long. Waiting three days is not an option for us."

She crossed her arms and took a step forward, the tension in her posture betraying how serious the matter was to her.

"Besides," she continued, "even after three days, they can only supply a small amount. That won't be enough to meet our current needs. The demand is huge! I already thought about working with them earlier, but I realized it just wouldn't work for this immediate crisis!"

Lin Yuan, in contrast, was calm and collected. He looked at Yan Ruyue's anxious expression and smiled reassuringly, a quiet confidence in his tone.

"I said the talk was over," he said, "but I never said I was done."

His voice was light, but his words carried weight.

"I contacted Boss Cao not just to solve the immediate issue, but to make sure this kind of bottleneck doesn't happen again in the future," Lin Yuan explained. "Boss Cao runs his company well, and most importantly, he maintains a strong, trustworthy relationship with the Lin family. That means he won't go back on his word, and we can depend on him for consistent supply moving forward."

Yan Ruyue looked at him, her lips parting slightly in surprise. She hadn't expected this level of long-term thinking, not when she was still so caught up in the present crisis.

Lin Yuan continued, "Eventually, we'll set up our own production plants for facial mask sheets—several of them. That way, we'll control the supply chain directly, and no one will be able to restrict or manipulate us again."

"Of course," he added with a slight smirk, "I'm sure you've thought about that yourself too."

Yan Ruyue nodded slowly, realization dawning on her.

"But," Lin Yuan said, his tone shifting back to the present, "that's a long-term solution. What we need now is an immediate remedy. A short-term fix."

He walked over to the desk, leaning against it casually.

"Right now, your company needs facial mask sheets urgently. The demand is massive, and the gap is growing larger by the hour. The reason you can't get them is because Feng Dahai is refusing to supply—unless you agree to the ridiculous prices he's demanding. So, let's make him supply to Yanyue Company anyway, and urgently."

Yan Ruyue blinked in disbelief. "Make him…? But how—?"

Lin Yuan held out his hand, palm up. "Give me your phone."

Though puzzled, Yan Ruyue handed over her phone. Her slender fingers brushed against his for a moment, but her mind was too occupied to linger on the sensation.

She narrowed her eyes slightly, watching him. She understood that Lin Yuan had contacted Boss Cao to secure long-term cooperation and ensure this problem wouldn't resurface in the future. That much was clear.

But to solve the short-term issue… Lin Yuan wanted to convince—or rather force—Feng Dahai to resume supplying facial mask sheets?

How?

Yanyue Company had already exhausted all conventional and unconventional means of dealing with Feng Dahai. They had attempted formal negotiations, offered incentives, even resorted to subtle legal pressure—reminding him that he was in clear violation of contract terms. But none of it made a dent. Feng Dahai remained unyielding, his message resolute: no shipments would resume unless they accepted his exorbitantly inflated prices.

What made matters worse was the recent confirmation from Yan Ruyue—Feng Dahai had already thrown in his lot with Ye Feng and the Chen family. This wasn't just about money anymore; it was a calculated, strategic maneuver to choke Yanyue Company at its most vulnerable point: the supply chain.

Pursuing legal action seemed like the only route left—but that too was a trap. The court system was notoriously slow in such business disputes. A commercial lawsuit of this nature could drag on for two to three years, if not longer. Even if Yanyue Company eventually won, the damages awarded might be limited to breach-of-contract severance—an amount the Chen family could easily afford to cover on Feng Dahai's behalf. In short, a court victory would be symbolic at best, with no guarantee of a timely or effective resolution.

In the meantime, the damage would already be done. Their production would stall, their market credibility would suffer, and financial losses would snowball. Legal proceedings offered no relief in the immediate crisis. They needed a solution now—something fast, decisive, and outside the rulebook.
