Jon's mind was racing. He had tried every possible way-digging through his memories, convincing himself repeatedly that this was just an illusion-but nothing seemed to work.
"Everything feels real... but this can't be true!"
Yet, he saw no way out. There was no time to think. Everything around him felt just as real as it always had. If this was an illusion, it was the strongest one he had ever encountered.
The Desperate Escape
Without another thought, Jon started running through the village streets. His heart was pounding, his breath was heavy, but he did not stop. Behind him, he heard the voices of his younger siblings and mother-
"Big brother! Where are you going? Don't leave us!"
There was desperation in their voices, pain in their cries. Jon's steps faltered. His eyes welled up with tears, but he forced himself to move forward. This was all an illusion, and he had to escape at any cost.
"If I make the mistake of stopping, I will be trapped here forever!"
Leaving the cobbled streets of the village behind, he dashed into the forest. The dense greenery, the rustling leaves, the snapping twigs beneath his feet-it all felt real, but he knew it was just a trick to deceive him.
Reaching the River
After running for what felt like an eternity, Jon reached the village river. It was the same river where he had spent his childhood, jumping in and swimming freely. But today, it felt different.
The water was flowing unusually fast.
As he stood at the edge, an unsettling realization hit him. The sound of rushing water echoed in his ears, but he couldn't feel the cold mist of the river against his skin.
Jon took a deep breath and, without hesitation, leaped into the water.
Something Was Wrong
The moment he touched the surface, something strange happened-he did not sink.
Instead, he floated on top of the water.
"What is happening?"
He was inside the river, but he couldn't feel the weight of the water around him. His body remained effortlessly afloat, as if held by an unseen force. This was impossible, but by now, he had witnessed too many impossible things in this illusion.
And then, it hit him-
"If I die here, maybe I'll return to the real world!"
The Final Decision
Without hesitation, Jon drew his sword. Standing atop the water, he saw his own reflection-a warrior who had faced the impossible.
"If this is a dream, I have to end it!"
In one swift motion, he struck himself with the sword.
Return to Reality
A sharp pain shot through him, and then suddenly... everything turned black.
Jon felt as if he were falling into a deep abyss. There was silence all around, except for a faint light in the distance. Slowly, he began to hear voices.
His eyes fluttered open, and he found himself lying on a bridge.
"So... did I make it back?"

The Trial of the Illusionary Pool
The cold stone of the ancient bridge pressed against Jon's back as he gasped for breath. His mind was still spinning from the illusion he had just escaped. A firm grip on his shoulder brought him back to reality—Victor.
Victor's voice was sharp, filled with urgency.
"Jon! Come back to your senses! We need to get out of here!"
Jon blinked rapidly, shaking his head as he regained control of his thoughts. His eyes met Victor's, and without hesitation, he spoke—
"We have to move. Now!"
Both warriors turned towards the small exit gate at the far end of the pool. Their steps were quick, echoing against the damp stone floor. But just as they neared the gate, a familiar, haunting voice called from behind.
"Big brother… are you really going to leave us?"
Jon clenched his fists but did not turn back. He knew what it was.
"The illusion is trying to break me. I cannot give in!"
He forced his steps forward, pushing aside the weight of emotions threatening to hold him back.
Victor's Trial Begins
They reached the small gateway, its ancient carvings flickering in the dim glow of the molten lava flowing beneath the pool. Just as they were about to pass through, Victor suddenly froze.
A whisper, soft and sorrowful, drifted into his ears.
"Victor… was this your love?"
Victor's heart clenched. That voice—Alina.
His grip tightened on the hilt of his sword. His breathing grew shallow. A wave of guilt surged through him.
In a hushed tone, he murmured, "If only you were here, Alina... I would have gladly thrown myself into this river of lava for you."
The moment he spoke, something shifted.
The stone statue beside the gate, which had stood silent for centuries, suddenly came to life. Its eyes gleamed with an eerie golden glow, and a deep, resonating voice filled the chamber—
"The riddle must be solved within time's limit… or death is certain."
Jon and Victor turned to face the statue, their minds sharpening.
Then, the riddle was spoken:
"I am not real, yet you can feel me.
I can lead you between truth and deception.
What am I?"
Both warriors fell silent, their thoughts racing.
The Lava Awakens
Before they could answer, a low rumble filled the cavern.
Beneath them, the lava churned violently, bubbling and rising. Fiery embers shot into the air, scattering like tiny stars. The molten river slowly inched closer to the bridge, licking at the stone edges.
Jon's pulse quickened. He turned to Victor.
"We need to find the answer fast! If we don't, we'll be swallowed by the lava!"
Victor gritted his teeth, his mind struggling to focus despite the memories tormenting him.
The heat intensified. The time was running out.
"What is the answer?"
