On the eastern outer perimeter of the Long Mountain garrison, there are hundreds of five-cornered iron piles with an eight-meter length on each side.
These iron piles extend from the ground, with just the parts exposed above ground standing fifteen meters high. Each pile's interior is connected to a thick iron chain, evidently used to control its expansion and contraction underground.
