The name "Songyang Ridge" was not given by Xu Ning; he discovered this place while leading a small team through the Snow Forest in May, and only after making contact with the locals did he learn of it.
It is called Songyang Ridge partly because of its relatively high terrain, and partly because the predominant vegetation on the ridge is a type of tree called Jade Pine.
The Jade Pine grows in a unique way; its trunk twists and turns upwards, reaching a height of no more than twenty meters. Though it appears malnourished, its branches are densely covered with leaves.
Moreover, the leaves are transparent and extremely smooth, resembling glass. Since snow does not accumulate on them, the entire ridge reflects intensely in daytime sunlight, making it blinding to the eye.
Of course, it is night right now, so this special scene cannot be seen.
