After some light chit-chat, Tsukimi Sakurazawa and Higashino Rin got into the small truck---a vehicle jointly purchased by the village to transport mountain goods. It's managed with a "first-come, first-serve" policy; if multiple people need it, it's whoever's need is more urgent. If there's a landslide blocking the road, there's also a tractor available, although the travel experience isn't exactly delightful.
Luckily, Tsukimi Sakurazawa wasn't forced to experience an authentic tractor journey. She and Higashino Rin sat in the driver's seat, while Shirakawa Sawahei originally wanted to hold Tsukimi and sit in the passenger seat. But thinking about Tsukimi's usual shyness in front of elders, plus the inconvenience with Higashino Rin around, he decided to sit in the back of the truck instead.
