Chapter 47 - Sleep Paralysis

Ha-na felt the familiar, sickening weight press down on her chest – heavy and suffocating. She tried to move, but her body refused to obey.

She tried to scream, but no sound came out – her voice remained trapped in her throat. Panic clawed at her.

Her breath grew shallower and faster as she sighted the familiar presence and felt its stale breath on her face. She tried to convince herself that what she saw wasn't real – couldn't be real – but her paralyzing terror told her otherwise. 

Those eyes. Those beady, vicious, black bloodshot eyes splattered with blood gazed at her again. And they looked ready to grab her and do cruel things to her.

Her heart hammered against her ribs, faster and harder. She was going to die if she didn't escape, but she was powerless to escape her fate. Her body was frozen in place.

The seconds stretched into eternity as her dread magnified, her mind frantic for salvation against her leaden body…
