William immediately smiled when he saw Alexis again. He got up to stop her from entering the bartender's area.
"Alexis..."
"Yes?"
"What time are you going home?" William asked.
"Um..." Alexis bit her lower lip, her eyes glancing at Greyson who had just arrived, reminding her of the promise he made to pick her up that night. "I... I might stay over." She lied, looking back at William.
"Stay over?"
"Yeah... My rental house is a bit far from here. If it's too late to go home, I might as well stay over. Besides, my shift ends at three," Alexis explained.
"Hm..." William sighed. "That's a shame, I really wanted to talk with you."
"Bro!"
Greyson patted William's shoulder.
"I think we should go now," Greyson said.
"But why? We just got here..."
"I feel kind of uncomfortable..." Greyson rubbed his shoulder. "I really want to rest, but don't take me home. I don't want to deal with Clara."
