"What's so funny!" Green snapped angrily.

It hadn't been easy for her to steal this disk from Team Rocket's base, and she couldn't see anything wrong with her plan.

"Green, do you know Dragonite, Tyranitar, Metagross, and Garchomp?" Eddie asked, knowing that Green's knowledge was somewhat limited. He planned to explain things to her using simple comparisons.

"Huh? Do you think I'm an idiot? Of course I know these Pokemon! They're called pseudo-legendaries in various regions," Green replied, thinking Eddie was asking about something everyone already knew. She couldn't help feeling confused by his seemingly obvious question.

"Yes, these are all Pokemon classified as pseudo-legendaries. Do you think you could defeat one of them in battle?" Eddie was still chuckling, but he had recovered somewhat from his earlier outburst and posed this question to Green.

"...I probably couldn't beat them right now. After all, they're Pokemon called pseudo-legendaries. But I'll definitely be able to defeat them in the future!" Green acknowledged honestly.

Green knew her own capabilities well. She had just reached Elite level, while pseudo-legendaries like Dragonite and Tyranitar were at minimum Gym Leader level in terms of strength.

With her current abilities, fighting such powerful beings would essentially be suicide.

Of course, this was only her present situation. She felt confident that she would definitely surpass these pseudo-legendaries eventually.

"Well said! You admitted that you can only beat these pseudo-legendaries in the future, which proves that these Pokemon are incredibly powerful, correct?" Eddie continued analyzing Green's words, slowly building his comparison.

"Now here's the key question - these powerful Pokemon are only called pseudo-legendaries."

"Green, if you can't even defeat pseudo-legendaries currently, why do you have the confidence that you could capture Mew, which is classified as a true legendary Pokemon?"

Green was stunned when she heard this reasoning, then suddenly displayed an expression of dawning realization.

That's right - she couldn't even beat a pseudo-legendary right now, so why did she think she could catch a legendary Pokemon that was far stronger than any pseudo-legendary?

"I admit that I can't catch Mew by myself, but if you're included in the plan..." Green began hopefully.

"Wait a minute! I haven't finished explaining yet. Don't rush to add yourself to scenarios you don't understand," Eddie interrupted directly, knowing exactly what Green was about to suggest.

She was simply going to argue that while she couldn't handle Mew alone, perhaps together with Eddie they might accomplish something.

"Let's not even discuss one-on-one situations under normal circumstances - I'm not confident I could handle a pseudo-legendary myself right now," Eddie stated bluntly.

Eddie needed to make it crystal clear to Green that he genuinely couldn't deal with a pseudo-legendary under normal battle conditions, since even the weakest Dragonite typically reached level 55.

Without using overwhelming tactics or special abilities like the Power of Viridian, in a straightforward one-on-one duel, Eddie would need to rely on Mega Evolution - but using Mega Evolution could hardly be considered normal circumstances.

"No matter how powerful pseudo-legendaries are, people still call them pseudo-legendaries. True legendary Pokemon aren't just missing the word 'pseudo' from their classification."

"The reason legendary Pokemon are called legendary isn't just because of what they represent, but most directly because of their overwhelming strength."

"Without power far superior to normal Pokemon or even pseudo-legendaries, which Pokemon would dare call itself a legendary?"

Eddie's expression became much more serious as he explained this concept. The power of legendary Pokemon wasn't merely theoretical.

However, it was perfectly normal for Green not to understand this, since information about legendary Pokemon typically came from rumors and legends.

No matter how much someone heard about them, it couldn't compare to experiencing their power firsthand. Consequently, people who had never encountered legendary Pokemon assumed they were just slightly stronger than average, as if anyone could potentially catch them.

"Are legendary Pokemon really that powerful? Aren't they still just Pokemon? If the two of us working together could catch pseudo-legendaries, couldn't we also catch legendary Pokemon? Even this cute and seemingly harmless Mew?" Green asked while taking out the authentic disk.

However, seeing Eddie's serious expression made her begin to hesitate.

This reaction was typical among most people regarding legendary Pokemon. The majority assumed that legendaries were simply strong and rare - just slightly more powerful Pokemon than usual.

Unfortunately, this wasn't the Pokemon video game world that Eddie had known before traveling here. After all, games were just games. In those games, legendary Pokemon were creatures that didn't even reach level 100, making them merely relatively powerful.

But in this real Pokemon world, "world-destroying" was basically the minimum description applied to legendary Pokemon.

Even Mew, despite its adorable appearance, could completely destroy a major city in less than half an hour if it chose to do so.

Ordinary people didn't understand these facts because they had never deeply studied legendary Pokemon.

Only genuine scholars and top-tier trainers truly comprehended what legendary Pokemon represented!

"Alright, alright. You clearly won't give up until you see Mew for yourself and experience a real battle," Eddie sighed in resignation.

"Fine, I'll accompany you so you can witness the true power of a legendary Pokemon firsthand."

Eddie's mission remained incomplete - neither Green's quest nor the Mew encounter could be finished until Team Rocket was completely repelled.

So he would go with Green to find Mew regardless of her decision. The reason he had explained so much was to help her understand the genuine danger that legendary Pokemon represented.

This way, Green wouldn't rush forward recklessly like some hot-headed trainers might.

Although Green wasn't particularly impulsive compared to others, Eddie believed in preparing for every possibility.

"Really? Then let's go right now!" Green exclaimed with delight upon hearing his agreement.

She was exactly as Eddie had predicted - she wouldn't give up until she witnessed the truth personally.

Even though Eddie clearly understood how powerful legendary Pokemon were, he was still willing to accompany her in searching for Mew. Regardless of whatever ulterior motives Eddie might have, Green felt genuinely grateful toward him at this moment.

As for the possibility that Eddie was deceiving her, she had considered it but quickly dismissed the idea.

After all, she and Eddie would be searching for Mew together very soon, and it would be easy to locate using the disk's information.

When that time came, whether Eddie's words were true or false could be proven by Mew's actual strength.

If Mew wasn't as powerful as Eddie claimed, then Eddie would essentially be contradicting himself. Even if Eddie was truly trying to deceive her, he wouldn't accompany her to find Mew under these circumstances. The same logic applied either way.

"Let's move out. Team Rocket will probably return to find us soon, so we don't have much time," Eddie observed, looking at the sky as dusk approached.

Lucario had just informed him that it sensed a group of powerful Pokemon and trainers approaching Rainbow City, heading directly toward the Game Corner.

Eddie mentioned that "they" were coming, but he suspected they were actually returning to Rainbow City instead...
