"I'll give this Dragon Fang to Charizard - it suits him better than Sceptile," Eddie decided.
"Black Glasses and Hard Stone go to Pupitar, since it will become Rock and Dark-type after evolving into Tyranitar."
"Soft Sand goes to Gabite, which also has Ground-type attributes."
"The final Silk Scarf naturally goes to Snorlax, our only Normal-type."
Eddie distributed the items systematically, then prepared the Tyranitar Mega Evolution Stone and Gengarite he had obtained previously for Pupitar and Gengar respectively.
"Now then, Gengar has Elite potential, correct? With two Gold Bottle Caps available, this becomes quite straightforward."
"Ding! You used a Gold Bottle Cap on Gengar! Gengar's potential has been successfully enhanced! Current potential: 'Champion Level'!"
With great excitement, Eddie opened the status display for all his Pokemon.

"I've become incredibly powerful without even realizing it, despite playing for less than two weeks," Eddie observed his formidable eight-Pokemon roster with immense satisfaction.
Although he understood that future progression might not maintain this rapid pace, it didn't prevent him from continuing to marvel at his achievements.
However, Eddie's self-congratulation wasn't finished yet - today's gains hadn't been fully tallied!
Eddie retrieved numerous Pokeballs and arranged them on the table.
There were simply too many to handle easily. These had all been confiscated from Team Rocket's underground laboratory, and he finally had time to identify and register them in his Pokedex.
Eddie noted the number 94 displayed on his Pokedex and eagerly began releasing Pokemon one by one for confirmation.
Eddie hadn't forgotten that reaching 100 different recorded Pokemon in the Pokedex would trigger a major reward.
"Beedrill? Already registered, moving on..."
"It's Porygon! Still here - I thought Gary might have taken it. I wonder if this is Gary's specimen or a second one."
"This is Pidgeot? Excellent! I won't need to level up my Pidgeotto anymore..."
"I have Hypno already, next... I have Butterfree already, next..."
"There's also a Raichu? Perfect..."
"Seaking, Tentacruel, Slowpoke, Starmie, Scyther, and Jynx!"
"Ding! World Announcement! Congratulations, Kanto Region player 'Morning Sun' has successfully captured 100 different Pokemon! The Pokedex Rankings have been unlocked! Let us commemorate player 'Morning Sun' for becoming the game's capture specialist!"
"Ding! World Announcement! Congratulations, player 'Morning Sun' has received system rewards: Alliance Coins x50,000, Venusaurite Mega Evolution Stone, TM Frenzy Plant, Gold Bottle Cap x2!"
Just as Eddie was halfway through his verification process, the world announcement interrupted him, and his Pokedex milestone reward had already arrived.
"Hahahaha! It's Frenzy Plant! I've obtained two Ultimate Moves in a single day. Today is definitely my lucky day!" Eddie exclaimed jubilantly.
Eddie disregarded the Venusaurite for now - he didn't possess that Pokemon, making it currently useless. However, he could immediately teach the Ultimate Move Frenzy Plant to Sceptile.
"Ding! Sceptile learned Frenzy Plant!"
"And two more Gold Bottle Caps! Fantastic!"
"This opening milestone reward certainly lived up to expectations!"
Eddie's grin stretched from ear to ear with pure happiness.
But he still hadn't finished checking all the Pokeballs, so he continued his verification process.
"Ponyta, Rapidash, Growlithe, Arcanine..."
After thirty minutes, Eddie finally completed checking all the Pokeballs and registered them in his Pokedex.
Although thoroughly exhausted, he felt incredibly excited at this moment.
He then opened the newly released Pokedex Rankings to see his current collection total.
Pokedex Rankings
First Place: Morning Sun - Count: 130
Second Place: None
Note: Only captured Pokemon count toward rankings, and a minimum of 100 different species is required for list inclusion.
"Hahaha! At this stage, who else besides me has over 100 different Pokemon?!" Eddie laughed heartily.
Before his rebirth, this Pokedex ranking system had only appeared after the game's six-month anniversary and the first Alliance tournament conclusion.
This proved that at the current stage, few players specifically hunted Pokemon to complete their Pokedex.
He estimated that current players possessed maybe 20 Pokemon maximum - 110 fewer than Eddie's collection.
"All of Team Rocket's Pokemon now belong to me, which saves considerable effort in Pokemon collection."
"I have nearly every Pokemon available in the Kanto Region, except for some rare specimens and the starter Pokemon. Whether I encounter these Pokemon in the future depends entirely on luck."
Eddie understood that each region always contained some Pokemon that were extremely difficult to capture. Setting aside whether trainers could defeat them, simply locating them posed significant challenges.
As for starter Pokemon and pseudo-legendary Pokemon, don't even consider encountering them in the wild. The probability of obtaining starter Pokemon through hidden quest completion was far higher than players finding them naturally in wilderness areas.
"Alright, today's gains have been fully catalogued. Time to head back and rest!" Eddie hummed cheerfully while walking back to the room Erika had prepared for him, ready to log off and sleep.
Tomorrow still held many tasks ahead - he needed to recuperate properly for the challenges ahead.
