"Information about a rare Grass-type Pokémon? This kind of quest reward is pretty interesting—giving the location information directly?"

Eddie examined the quest reward and couldn't help but comment. However, since Erika was a Grass-type specialist, it made sense that she would have information about rare Grass-type Pokémon.

"You little one, you're so stubborn," Eddie said softly. "But that's actually good. If you weren't this determined, you might not have survived those terrible experiments. Let me treat you now."

Eddie released Eevee from its Luxury Ball again and gently held the small Pokémon in his arms. Eevee's fur was incredibly smooth and felt cool and comfortable against his skin. He rubbed Eevee's head carefully, continuously soothing it with gentle touches.

Seeing the wounded Eevee in his arms, Eddie naturally wouldn't just stand by and watch. He channeled the Power of Viridian to treat Eevee's injuries. The healing energy flowed through his hands, working to repair the damage that had been done to the small Pokémon.

After several minutes, Eevee's injuries were completely healed. The small Pokémon's wounds had closed, and its breathing had become steady and peaceful.

"Vui? Vui Eevee~~~"

After Eevee recovered from its injuries, it first cried out in confusion, then as if it had discovered something important, it kept calling to Eddie with increasing urgency.

"What? You want me to continue using the Power of Viridian to heal you? But haven't you already recovered? Why would you... could it be that..."

Eddie was puzzled by Eevee's strange request at first. After all, the Pokémon had been completely healed by his power, but for some reason it wanted Eddie to continue the treatment. Then a sudden realization flashed through Eddie's mind, as if he had thought of something significant.

With a serious expression, he used the Power of Viridian with all his strength toward Eevee, channeling the healing energy more intensely than before.

Ten minutes later, Eevee signaled for Eddie to stop using the Power of Viridian.

"Oh my goodness, although the Power of Viridian has no harmful side effects, it really drains a lot of energy when used for extended periods."

Eddie was completely out of breath now. Using the Power of Viridian at full strength for ten minutes straight had exhausted him completely, even though he had been building up his stamina with it over the past weeks.

In the original storyline, Yellow would fall asleep every time she overused the Power of Viridian. This happened because she was still young and wasn't fully familiar with controlling the power properly.

Eddie had only been in contact with the Power of Viridian for two weeks. Although he used it almost every day to heal Pokémon during his continuous training, and his proficiency was decent, he wasn't fully familiar with this power yet.

Of course, the usual treatments didn't even take a minute, so Eddie never felt this tired before. Today was the first time he had used it at full strength for ten minutes straight.

"Vui!! Vui~~~~~~"

Eevee looked at Eddie panting heavily for its sake, and first touched Eddie's hand gently to express its gratitude. The small Pokémon's eyes were filled with appreciation and something else—excitement.

Then it jumped out of Eddie's arms and landed gracefully on the grass. It raised its head, looking incredibly happy and proud, as if it wanted to show off something special about itself.

Eddie looked at Eevee with a mixture of doubt and expectation. If his theory was correct, this would be absolutely wonderful.

Team Rocket's experiment had only been half successful. Although Eevee had gained the ability to evolve and devolve at will, it could only become Vaporeon, Flareon, and Jolteon at that time, and every evolution and devolution caused it tremendous pain.

Eddie wasn't sure if this was due to insufficient energy in its body, lasting effects from the experiments, or both factors combined.

In the original storyline, Ash rarely used Eevee in the early stages, and in the middle stages he obtained three permanent evolution stones to let Eevee evolve and devolve. He did this because he didn't want Eevee to suffer so much pain during transformations.

In the later stages, Ash simply evolved it into Espeon permanently and hardly used its transformation abilities.

Eddie didn't want to be like Ash, who had such a powerful asset but didn't fully utilize it. He would naturally look for ways to treat Eevee properly, and would also search for permanent evolution stones. In any case, it would be a complete waste if Eevee's incredible combat potential wasn't used to its fullest.

And now, Eddie had used the Power of Viridian to treat Eevee, and it was Eevee who had taken the initiative to request the extended treatment, which made Eddie feel both happy and expectant.

After all, if Eevee's problem could be solved right now, the rest of their journey would be much simpler, wouldn't it?

As Eddie's thoughts wandered with possibilities, Eevee finally began its demonstration.

The adorable Pokémon directly transformed into Flareon, its fur becoming a brilliant orange-red and its body temperature rising. Then it continued to change, becoming Vaporeon with its sleek blue form, and then shifted into Jolteon with its spiky yellow fur crackling with electricity.

When Eevee had battled with Eddie before, its face showed clear signs of pain whenever it transformed into other forms. The process had been visibly uncomfortable and distressing.

But now, Eevee not only didn't look painful, but actually appeared eager and excited to continue.

When Eddie saw that Eevee's expression showed no trace of pain, he knew that the small Pokémon would no longer have to suffer through those agonizing transformations.

However, it was too early for him to celebrate, because Eevee's next actions surprised him even more.

Jolteon continued to change, becoming Espeon with its elegant purple form and jewel-like forehead gem, and then repeated the previous transformations in a seamless cycle.

Espeon became Umbreon, its sleek black form with glowing yellow rings, followed by Leafeon with its plant-like features, then Glaceon with its icy blue crystalline appearance, and finally Sylveon with its ribbon-like feelers and fairy-type grace.

Eevee evolved seamlessly in front of Eddie, or rather, it was transforming at will. The process was smooth and natural, like watching a master artist at work.

Finally, Eevee returned to its original brown and cream-colored appearance, panting slightly and looking as if it had used up considerable energy or stamina.

But it didn't show any expression of pain at this time. Instead, it was incredibly happy and satisfied with its performance.

It jumped onto Eddie's head and settled down comfortably, falling asleep while lying on its stomach, completely at peace.

"...Hahahaha!!! The Power of Viridian is absolutely amazing—it can treat such a complex condition!"

"Not only that, it also directly optimized Eevee's abilities. Now Eevee can transform into eight different evolutionary forms at any time. Is there any Pokémon that can effectively counter it now!?"

Eddie was absolutely ecstatic. If he wasn't afraid of disturbing Eevee's peaceful sleep, he would have laughed triumphantly at the sky.

A few minutes later, Eddie calmed down and took out the Luxury Ball from his belt.

"Resting outside is nice, but the Luxury Ball is definitely more comfortable. Let's go back inside to sleep properly..."

After carefully recalling Eevee into its Luxury Ball, Eddie felt completely satisfied with how things had turned out.

"Hmm~~~ Have you already captured Eevee? It seems that I arrived a step too late. Looking at your happy expression, you're grinning like a delighted child."

Just as Eddie was about to head back to Rainbow City, a cold voice stopped him in his tracks.

"That familiar cold tone... is it Miss Sabrina? What important matter brought you to Rainbow City in person?"

"Don't tell me three Executives have lost contact here again? After rescuing Koga, are you here to rescue Lt. Surge as well?"

Eddie looked up at the sky with a playful smile. Although he was speaking in a teasing manner, he had already gripped a Poké Ball in his hand, ready for action.

It was true that he had developed feelings for Sabrina and was attracted to her, but right now they were enemies. Eddie didn't think that Sabrina would hold back against him, especially after Eddie had played that trick on her just a few days ago.

In Eddie's line of sight, high in the sky, the air began to twist and distort with psychic energy.

A cold and beautiful woman in a Team Rocket uniform, with her arms crossed over her chest, suddenly appeared after the air shimmered. She was accompanied by a menacing Alakazam, its spoons glinting in the light.

The cold and beautiful woman was naturally Sabrina. She maintained her characteristic pose, with her arms crossed and leaning casually on Alakazam's back, one foot resting over the other. Her queenly presence was unmistakable and commanding.

"If I told you that I came here specifically to find you this time, would you try to run away again?"
