"Eddie, what just happened to you?"
Seeing that Eddie had returned to normal, Green asked with deep concern in her voice.
"It's fine. Someone was just calling out to me."
Eddie said something that left Green utterly confused, but he didn't have time to explain the situation to her at the moment, so he cut off Green's question before she could ask it and gave her urgent instructions.
"Green, you need to leave this island immediately. A powerful enemy will be arriving here very soon."
"I don't have time to explain everything. Just take your Blastoise and get out of here as quickly as possible. I need to reach Cinnabar Island as soon as possible."
Eddie recalled all of his Pokémon except Garchomp. The situation was urgent, and he didn't have time to swim over leisurely on Dragonair.
"Eddie, where should we meet next? Also, did you find out about Team Rocket's plan?"
Green looked at Eddie's anxious expression and understood that she really couldn't delay him any longer, but she still wanted to ask if Eddie had discovered the specifics of Team Rocket's scheme.
After all, the original purpose of following Eddie here was to find out exactly what Team Rocket was plotting.
"Team Rocket wants to capture the three Legendary birds and use them to realize their plan for dominating the Kanto Region. Don't worry about these three birds for now—just leave Seafoam Island immediately."
Eddie was already mounting Garchomp. When he said "don't worry about the three birds," he was actually being considerate of Green's feelings. After all, Green couldn't handle them anyway—she suffered from a severe phobia of bird Pokémon.
Managing the three Legendary birds? That was completely out of the question for her.
"Green, before our final confrontation with Team Rocket, you should find a place to train and improve your skills as much as possible. After all, if you remain only at the Elite level, you'll definitely lose against the three executives."
After saying that, Garchomp had already begun taking off and would soon be departing from Seafoam Island.
"Eddie! Where is the final battle location?!"
Green naturally understood that she wasn't strong enough, so she didn't question his assessment. However, she absolutely had to know where the final battle would take place. Otherwise, if the location where she trained was too far from the battle site, she would miss the decisive confrontation.
"Saffron City! Also! When you leave, make sure to stay hidden! A powerful enemy will arrive soon—don't fight them under any circumstances!"
After revealing the location of the decisive battle and delivering that final warning, Eddie rode Garchomp away from Seafoam Island at tremendous speed, heading directly toward Cinnabar Island.
"This is the first time I've seen you in such a rush. This must be something extremely serious."
Watching Eddie's retreating figure, Green couldn't help but feel worried.
"No, I need to leave right now. Eddie emphasized it so many times—it seems like this enemy is incredibly dangerous. I have to get out of here first."
Green didn't waste any time. She prepared to recall Blastoise and Clefairy into their Poké Balls, then planned to enlarge Jigglypuff and ride it to make her escape.
"Wait! At least... give me back the Badge!"
However, just as Green was about to mount Jigglypuff and leave, Harley, who had supposedly fallen asleep earlier, suddenly opened his eyes. Then, despite being tied up, he performed a Take Down and crashed directly into Green.
"What?!"
Green never expected that Harley had already regained consciousness. The moment she noticed Eddie had left, Harley immediately launched his attack.
She was completely unable to react and was knocked to the side by Harley's desperate tackle.
The Light Red Badge she had been holding just moments ago fell to the ground.
Harley broke free from the rope and quickly snatched up the Light Red Badge that had dropped.
He saw Green knocked down by his attack and Eddie already departed. His first instinct was to take out a Poké Ball to capture Green.
However, he suddenly remembered Eddie's overwhelming combat ability, and even more importantly, he recalled how Green and one other Peak-level trainer had actually managed to put him to sleep.
"No, these people are too dangerous. I can't take that risk..."
Harley didn't dare to gamble. Although he was a Gym Leader-level trainer at this point and Green was merely an Peak-level trainer, both Eddie and Green possessed combat capabilities far beyond normal expectations.
Therefore, when facing them, one could never evaluate or judge them from a conventional perspective.
For that reason, Harley didn't dare bet on whether he could actually defeat Green, so he employed the same ultimate technique that Lt. Surge had used before!
"If I can't win, can't I just run away?"
After Harley secured the Light Red Badge in his pocket, he immediately executed his strategic retreat!
He turned around and ran!
"That hurts, you bastard! I'm going to teach you a lesson... huh? Did that guy just run away?"
Green felt pain where she'd been struck and was about to chase Harley down to vent her anger, but then she realized that Harley had simply fled.
"Oh no, the Light Red Badge!"
"SCREEEECH!"
Just as Green was about to pursue Harley to retrieve the Badge, a tremendous sound echoed throughout all of Seafoam Island.
It was the cry of a divine bird. The piercing call was like an icy wind—crisp yet infused with rage.
Simultaneously, a frigid wind swept across the entire Seafoam Island. The canyon area in particular was struck by a fierce blizzard.
From the looks of the situation, it seemed that Articuno had broken out of its icy prison, but it was clearly battling someone else. Otherwise, such a cold wind wouldn't be blowing across the entire island.
But all of this had nothing to do with Green. The moment the divine bird's cry rang out, Green's face turned deathly pale in an instant. Her body trembled violently, and she covered her ears while letting out a wail of terror.
"Ahhhhh..."
"Jigglypuff... take me away right now..."
Green knew she couldn't continue like this, so she used every ounce of willpower to overcome her inner fear and gave the command to Jigglypuff.
Upon hearing the order, Jigglypuff immediately grabbed Green and hoisted her onto its head.
Don't underestimate the strength of Pokémon. Even the adorable Jigglypuff, who wasn't specialized in physical combat, was still a Pokémon—a creature far more powerful than humans.
Lifting Green up a meter or two was completely within its capabilities.
"Hurry... go!"
Green seemed to have exhausted all her remaining strength. After forcing out those words, she lost consciousness on Jigglypuff's back.
Jigglypuff looked at the unconscious Green and understood that they had to leave immediately.
Glancing at the battle between Articuno and someone in the distance, it floated directly in the opposite direction.
It knew that both Articuno and whoever was fighting the Legendary bird were not opponents it could handle, so it had to escape from here as quickly as possible.
Using nearly all of its energy, it floated northward and rapidly departed from Seafoam Island.
