"Kael."
A soft voice called.
Kael didn't respond.
"Kael."
This time, Lavinia placed her hand on his shoulder and gave him a gentle shake.
"U-Huh?"
Kael blinked.
His eyes slowly focused as if he'd been pulled back from somewhere far away. He turned to look at Lavinia, her face filled with quiet concern.
"...I'm fine."
He spoke with a reassuring smile, lightly shaking his head.
"Just… thinking."
"You looked completely out of it,"
Lavinia replied in a low voice.
"I was thinking about them."
Kael muttered. Lavinia understood who he was talking about and chuckled softly.
"One little barrier worries you that much, huh? You are quite nosy. They need privacy even if they are your children, you know?"
"I am giving them privacy."
Kael retorted, and Lavinia chuckled even more.
"Right, you are."
She spoke softly.
"…"
Kael just turned away, pouting a little.
