Chapter 124 - The Lollipop Dependency Harem Lure Plan

Tenten adjusted the wrappings around her wrists as she walked onto the training field, ready for another day of pushing her limits. Raven had promised to teach her something that would take her weapon mastery to the next level, and she wasn't about to waste the opportunity.

She spotted Raven leaning against a tree, hands casually tucked into her pockets, that maddeningly smug grin already in place. Tenten sighed. "Alright, I'm here. What are we working on?"

Raven didn't answer. Instead, she pulled something out of her pocket—a lollipop.

Tenten froze.

Raven twirled it between her fingers, the red candy catching the morning light. "Oh, I dunno. Are you sure you're ready?"

Tenten narrowed her eyes. "Obviously. That's why I'm here."

Raven smirked, slowly unwrapping the lollipop. "I mean… are you really ready?"

Tenten's gaze flickered toward the candy, then back at Raven's face. Her jaw tensed.

"…Why are you like this?"

Raven took a slow, deliberate lick of the lollipop, her smirk widening. "Guess we'll never know."

Tenten crossed her arms. "I already agreed to train with you."

Raven held the lollipop out, like a forbidden temptation. "And yet, here you are, staring at the candy."

Tenten's eye twitched. She swiped the lollipop from Raven's fingers and popped it into her mouth with a scowl. "I hate you."

Raven chuckled. "No, you don't."

Raven rolled out a set of kunai, each embedded with an intricate sealing formula. "These," she said, gesturing to the weapons, "are what we're working with today."

Tenten crouched, examining them closely. "You said these track enemies?"

Raven nodded. "Auto-tracking seals. They lock onto an enemy's chakra signature, meaning once you throw them, they'll follow the target even if they dodge."

Tenten frowned, picking one up. "That's… insane. If this works, I wouldn't have to adjust my aim in battle. It'd make long-range combat ridiculously efficient."

Raven grinned. "Now you're getting it."

The first test didn't go well.

Tenten miscalibrated the seal, and her kunai shot sideways, veering completely off course and embedding itself deep into a tree.

Raven barely held in her laugh. "Congratulations. You just declared war on that tree."

Tenten glared, muttering under her breath as she pulled out another kunai and tried again.

This time, she took a breath, focused, and aligned her chakra properly. She threw the kunai. It veered slightly midair, correcting its course—

And hit dead center on the moving target.

Tenten's eyes widened.

"Oh… oh, this is incredible."

Raven tossed her another lollipop. "Good girl."

Tenten froze, mid-reach.

"…What did you just say?"

Raven smirked. "Nothing~."

Tenten snatched the lollipop and muttered, "I really hate you."

Now came the fun part—explosives.

Raven handed Tenten a set of kunai with explosive tags already fused into the tracking seals.

Tenten's eyebrows shot up. "You're telling me these not only track enemies but also explode on impact?"

Raven shrugged. "If they don't, what's the point?"

Tenten grinned. "You're actually insane."

"And you love it."

Tenten didn't argue—because she did.

She tested the new kunai, throwing them at fast-moving targets. The moment they locked on and struck, the tags detonated, sending shockwaves across the field.

She grinned. "This is unreal."

By midday, Tenten had mastered the auto-tracking explosive kunai. But there was still one problem—reusability.

"I love all of this," Tenten admitted, wiping sweat from her brow. "But I can't keep replacing weapons in the middle of battle."

Raven smirked. "That's where the recall system comes in."

She knelt beside a new set of scrolls, unfurling them to reveal a modified sealing pattern. "Once your kunai explode, this seal recalls them back into storage, so you can keep using the same set infinitely."

Tenten's jaw dropped.

"…Wait. So… I can just… keep reusing them?"

Raven nodded.

Tenten stared at the scroll, the realization hitting all at once.

"This… this changes everything."

After testing her fully upgraded arsenal, Tenten stretched, rolling her shoulders. "I can't believe how much my fighting style is evolving."

Raven smirked, leaning casually against a tree. "I think I like this look on you."

Tenten raised an eyebrow. "What look?"

"The 'badass ninja who just got even deadlier' look."

Tenten scoffed but hid a small smile.

Then—Raven flicked one of her meatball buns.

Tenten froze.

Raven's smirk widened. "And these? Adorable."

Tenten's buns twitched violently. She stared in horror.

"W-wait… what?!"

Raven's eyes gleamed. "Oh, so they move when you get flustered? Interesting."

Tenten's brain completely crashed.

"I—STOP ANALYZING ME!"

As they wrapped up training, Raven casually handed Tenten another lollipop.

Tenten blinked. "I didn't even do anything this time."

Raven smirked. "You exist. That's reward enough."

Tenten took it, muttering. "You're seriously the worst."

Raven chuckled. "And yet, here you are."

As Tenten popped the candy into her mouth, she failed to notice something—her hand reached for it automatically.

And Raven?

She noticed.
