Only after meeting my mates and living elsewhere have I realized just how selfish the Redmoon Pack is.
I have always felt out of place there. It was not just Eric rejecting our mate bond in front of the whole pack that made me dislike Redmoon. It was everything. The way they looked at me. The way they whispered. The way they made me feel like I was never enough.
They were always so cold. So distant. They valued strength over kindness. They believed in self-sufficiency—which meant you were on your own if you could not keep up. If you were weak, if you were struggling, if you needed help—they would let you fall.
