I am so embarrassed as she walks away.
"I am sorry," I try to tell the man.
"No, no, young man." He waves a hand. "Your sister-in-law is right. I suggest going on the haunted house, then that ride. Do not miss the pop-the-balloon games."
He looks at us eagerly, and I reluctantly walk away with him.
It is loud. Really loud here. It is also overstimulating with the constant yelling and laughter and screaming and multiple scents of food, humans, sweat.
But it is beautiful to see. Humans are the most peculiar. Just as much as they are a cancer to the earth sometimes, their inventions, their lives, are beautiful.
Because a wolf would not think of this.
"Let us go to the haunted house," Gray says.
I look at him.
"It is better than us just standing around," he adds.
"Yeah," I say. "It is."
We walk in the direction the man pointed.
