Chapter 90 - Chapter 91: The Curtain Rises!

Chapter 91: The Curtain Rises!

Half of them became resurrection tokens in his River of Death—namely, souls.

The other half became part of his own body—namely, flesh and blood.

Chang Wei slaughtered every single vampire aboard the warship.

Then, he acquired the ability of the Magic Bullet Shooter.

"Simply absorbing flesh and blood wouldn't grant me this ability... Good thing my River of Death is different from Alucard's."

Chang Wei was currently experiencing the power of the Magic Bullet Shooter.

His River of Death could plunder not only souls but also abilities. Furthermore, like the Shadow Legion, he could summon them individually or in groups, preventing a situation where all his resurrection tokens were used up at once.

The ability of the Magic Bullet Shooter was quite simple—by attaching his will to a bullet before firing, he could control its trajectory remotely.

He had no idea what powered the bullet or how it managed to withstand friction at such extreme speeds without disintegrating.

Chang Wei tested his own gun.

He had specifically ordered a custom-made black handgun identical to Alucard's—The Jackal.

A black handgun, 39 cm in length, weighing 10 kg, with a 10-round capacity and a 13mm caliber. Because it lacked the internal 6 kg of explosives, its weight was reduced from 16 kg.

That 6 kg of explosives was originally added by Walter as a trap for Alucard.

Additionally, it used an extended magazine, allowing for a 10-round capacity.

According to the design, it was a modified M1911 using 13mm high-powered rounds, with recoil equivalent to a small cannon.

The bullets were custom-made .500 Magnum rounds. Even in their standard form, they were the most powerful commercial handgun ammunition in the world. The custom rounds had additional powder loads, giving them a muzzle energy exceeding 4000 joules!

Chang Wei ordered 10,000 rounds in one go—enough to last him a lifetime. Maybe one day, if he ended up in the Devil May Cry world, he could learn the skill to generate bullets with magic. Or perhaps he could modify The Jackal into something like Ebony & Ivory, transforming it into a magic weapon. In that case, he wouldn't even need bullets anymore.

This massive black handgun was the epitome of cool.

"Let's test the Magic Bullet Shooter's ability first..."

Chang Wei aimed at the ocean and pulled the trigger.

In the next instant, a red streak shot out from the muzzle, accompanied by an ear-splitting sonic boom—something Chang Wei completely ignored.

"It's too fast… The muzzle velocity is already at Mach 20. At this speed, there's barely any need for trajectory correction..."

Chang Wei muttered to himself.

The Magic Bullet Shooter ability greatly enhanced bullets. Chang Wei felt like he hadn't even exerted much force, yet the speed had already broken past Mach 20. At this velocity, he could likely obliterate any ground or aerial vehicle, including main battle tanks, with a single shot.

If he fired with full strength, the bullet's speed would surpass anything humanity had ever built.

However, he could control the bullet's velocity, allowing for trick shots like continuous ricochets and sharp turns.

The ability relied on willpower rather than telekinesis, making it difficult to describe. Perhaps it was best called—Materialized Thought?

It was incredibly fascinating, akin to casting a spell on the bullet before firing—something like, You will inevitably hit your target.

Its versatility and practicality far exceeded mere spoken incantations. Chang Wei even suspected that this ability might not be limited to bullets. Maybe one day, he could mimic Odin's Great Declarations.

"Alucard is here."

Chang Wei looked up at the red glow in the sky—that was an SR-71 Blackbird reconnaissance aircraft!

Who knew why the United States would lend this aircraft to Britain? Or rather, why they would lend it at all?

Then again, considering that the White House President in this world had already turned into a vampire, and most of the upper echelons were vampires too, it made sense. They had probably "loaned" it at the request of the Major to help trap Alucard.

Chang Wei left immediately.

Alucard piloted the SR-71 Blackbird, fully prepared to intercept any magic bullets. But nothing happened.

Then, the aircraft crashed directly onto the deck of the USS Kitty Hawk, forming a blazing cross.

"Where are the enemies?"

Alucard sensed nothing.

No humans. No vampires. No ghouls.

Nothing.

He had come for slaughter, but there was no one to kill!

Furthermore, the Kitty Hawk's operating and propulsion systems had already been destroyed, making it impossible to move.

Alucard immediately realized—it was a trap, just bait. But he had arrived full of anticipation, only to find nothing. Not even a cliché exploding bomb scene.

This was outright insulting!

With no other choice, Alucard turned himself into a shadow and began manually steering the warship toward Britain. He had never controlled something this large before, and with the propulsion system destroyed, moving it was no easy task.

Once Alucard set off, the Millennium forces could no longer hold back and finally mobilized.

Since there was no need to attack Hellsing Headquarters and no Seras—who was a pureblood descendant of Alucard—Lieutenant Zorin had been dispatched by the Major to deal with her instead.

At this moment, Chang Wei had no idea where Zorin was. She was merely a pawn the Major used to pinpoint his location.

Perhaps her illusion-manipulating ability might bring some surprises?

After all, among the three lieutenants, Zorin was the most bizarre and the strongest. Even Tubalcain Alhambra and Rip Van Winkle feared her power.

"If you've never seen it before, you might just get killed, Miss Seras."

The Major chuckled as he watched Seras on the screen.

On top of a skyscraper in London, Captain Hans stood beside Chang Wei, watching as the city below burned.

Captain Hans: (._.)

"Don't worry. This is the perfect place for her to grow. If she misses this opportunity, she won't get another one."

Chang Wei didn't even turn his head.

He was playing a game of hide-and-seek with the Major. He had called Captain Hans back but left Seras alone in London.

Since he couldn't enter the battlefield himself just yet, he might as well turn this place into Seras's proving ground.

If she could survive a battle of this scale, then she could survive in this world.

The difficulty wasn't too high—after all, she was a Blacklight Virus Prototype.

"No. If you go, you'll scare too many of them away."

Chang Wei rejected Captain Hans's idea of protecting Seras.

"Next, you should also stay away from me. I can hide myself from Schrödinger's observation, but you can't."

Chang Wei added.

Captain Hans fell into an even deeper silence.

Then, Chang Wei vanished right before his eyes, transforming into an utterly unremarkable man.

Meanwhile, Seras woke up, utterly confused.

She looked around—Captain Hans and Chang Wei were both gone.

Then, the deafening sounds of explosions and gunfire outside jolted her into action.

She ran outside—only to find London engulfed in flames.

All the famous landmarks had been destroyed.

"What the hell happened?!"

Seras's eyes widened in disbelief.

Someone was attacking London.

London—of all places!!!
