The words,
"Where is he?",
had barely left the Emperor's lips when Ying Zheng's gaze lifted.
From the distant horizon came a deep, guttural roar, like a beast howling at the moon. In the very next second, a massive figure shot from the ground into the sky, kicking up a colossal wind, tracing a violent parabolic arc. With a ground-shaking, deafening crash, it landed at the forefront of Wano's port.
"Captain Kaido!"
"It's Beasts Kaido!"
Seeing the colossal, menacing figure and feeling the violent, primordial aura radiating from him, everyone present couldn't help but gasp in shock.
His black hair hung over his shoulders, two monstrous horns jutted from his temples, and a long, dragon-like beard framed his mouth. A tattoo of dark scales covered his left arm.
He stood bare-chested, a red sash across his upper body, a purple garment around his waist, dark green pants below, and a thick shimenawa rope tied at his midsection. His appearance, combined with the sheer ferocity of his aura, declared his identity unmistakably.
Beast Kaido!
He was the pirate rumored to be the strongest creature across land, sea, and air. As the world often said, in a one-on-one fight, no one could defeat Kaido!
He was a battle-crazed lunatic, temperamental and reckless, with drinking and attempted suicide as his favorite pastimes. He had challenged the Marines and other pirates countless times, obsessively seeking a fight, which resulted in numerous defeats.
He loved to attempt suicide, yet had never succeeded. He'd leap from Skypiea, tens of thousands of meters high, only to crash into the ground, leaving deep craters, but he would not die!
His impenetrable physique and terrifying physical attributes had rendered Kaido virtually immortal. No one had ever managed to kill him, and neither could he kill himself.
Now, this fearsome figure stood at Wano's port, directly confronting Qin's Nation Flagship. His aura was immense and abyssal, like an ancient demonic god, inspiring primal terror and dread.
"Kaido!" The name was a reverent murmur across the docks.
At the ship's bow, Ying Zheng's eyes flashed, his focus sharpening.
"Good. You finally showed up."
His voice cut through the air, and the King's Dignity surrounding him swept forward like a powerful gale, blowing toward Wano and causing countless onlookers to squint, momentarily stunned by the invisible pressure.
"King Qin Ying Zheng, I've been waiting for you!" Kaido slowly raised his head, his gaze alight with frenzied, bloodthirsty battle intent.
"Who in this world is Undead? Only I, Beasts Kaido!"
"I'm glad you came! Then, let's stop wasting time!"
With a shout, Kaido's primal aura exploded, forming a whirlwind that instantly scattered everyone near him.
"Come! Kill me!"
With a final roar, Kaido bent his knees, instantly cracking the ground beneath him, and shot forward like a cannonball launched from a siege engine.
"He's here!" World bellowed a warning. Ying Zheng's gaze narrowed to a pinprick, and his right fist clenched tight in that moment.
Vrrr!
The air itself trembled. His Chakra erupted, Armament Haki (Busoshoku Haki) wrapped around his limb, and the fragmented abilities he had synthesized glowed with a hazy, intense light.
Without hesitation, Ying Zheng swung his fist upward.
Whoosh!
A fierce wind battered the massive steel flagship, shaking it violently. Kaido's enormous figure arrived, bringing down a punch that sounded like thunder.
Vrrr vrrr vrrr!
The airflow quaked and twisted, shockwaves radiating outward in perfect circles. Then, in the next instant, two fists of utterly unequal size violently collided in the air.
"Boom!"
The air compressed, froze for a fraction of a second, then erupted outward in every direction.
The flagship violently rocked side-to-side, water spraying hundreds of meters into the sky. At the center of the impact, the savage, unholy force radiated uncontrollably.
Three seconds later, Ying Zheng's eyes hardened, his expression growing stern. He bellowed sharply:
"Go back!"
"Boom!"
An immense, surging force erupted from his clenched fist. Kaido's eyes went wide as the blow struck, and his massive body was sent cartwheeling through the air.
Rumble, crash!
In an instant, his gigantic frame was hurled across Wano, smashing through a series of buildings before finally skidding to a halt.
Whoosh!
When he finally stopped, Kaido exhaled two great plumes of white vapor from his nostrils, his eyes shining with pure exhilaration.
"Good. That kind of power makes me feel just a little bit of pain!"
He spread his arms, noticing that the blood vessels around his elbows had burst, bleeding slightly. But with his terrifying regenerative ability, the bleeding stopped almost immediately.
Shaking his arms, Kaido clenched his fists again, his expression sharp and ferocious.
"These abilities of yours… this is going to be a fun fight."
Ying Zheng gave a faint smile and took a single step forward with his right foot.
Whoosh!
In an instant, his body vanished from the Flagship's bow. He reappeared in a flash directly above Kaido's head.
"Well, well!" Kaido roared, swinging a colossal fist upward toward where the Emperor had been a moment before.
Vrrr!
A massive torrent of wind swept around, the fist grazing where Ying Zheng's body had been as it shot skyward. A vast column of air was crushed and collapsed under the force.
"I am here!"
Suddenly, Ying Zheng's voice came from above Kaido's head, making the pirate quickly look up.
But it was too late.
Ying Zheng grabbed Kaido's left horn firmly and yanked downward with brutal, impossible force.
"Rise for me!"
With a tremendous roar, immense power exploded from Ying Zheng. Kaido's towering body was lifted completely off the ground, and Ying Zheng, using a single hand, violently swung the pirate King of the Beasts through the air.
Rumble, crash!
Kaido was hurled like a stone, smashing into the ground and leveling yet another line of buildings.
Ying Zheng sneered coldly, his grip tightening on the piece of horn he had just snapped off. "Crack!" Fragments of the horn flew everywhere.
Stepping forward, Ying Zheng slowly advanced toward the fallen Kaido.
Swoosh, swoosh!
Blood trickled from the top of Kaido's head. His eyes began to spew fire, in this ridiculously short exchange, he had fallen behind, even having a piece of his horn torn off.
"Aaaaah!"
Kaido screamed in pure, unadulterated rage, completely losing his mind. He wanted nothing more than to tear this small man apart.
"Gudōdama (Truth-Seeking Ball)!"
As Ying Zheng walked, spheres of pure black energy began to appear around him, expanding to the size of baseballs. A moment later, they shot forward with tremendous speed and force, aimed straight at Kaido.
"Get back!" Kaido ran forward with long, furious strides, roaring loudly.
With a swing of his right fist, one of the massive Gudōdama was blasted away.
Another swing with his left fist sent a second one flying, spinning wildly as it shot toward a different part of Wano.
The remaining four orbs struck Kaido directly. He didn't dodge, taking them head-on. Running through the resulting explosion and flames, his aura reached its absolute peak of ferocity.
"What a beast," Ying Zheng observed, slightly taken aback, then sighed.
"This is someone I truly can't bring myself to kill."
Speaking softly, Ying Zheng flashed forward again. His right palm spun and clenched into a tight fist.
"Boom!"
In the next instant, the two collided once more, their fists crashing face-to-face, cracking the ground and sending a tidal wave of dust flying in all directions.
Kaido was sent flying again. In a pure contest of strength, he was no match for Ying Zheng!
Meanwhile, in a quieter part of Wano, a child of about six or seven, bent over picking flowers, suddenly heard a sharp screech. He looked up just in time to see, "Boom!"
A massive explosion sounded, accompanied by a piercing, terrified scream.
"Momonosuke!!!"
