Waking up next morning Mathew saw lily sleeping next to him peacefully. He got up and went to take a bath he can also clean himself using mana but as an earthling taking a bath is a habit for the Mathew.
After freshening up he came to the room and saw lily already woke up and sitting on the table in the room.

Mathew: good morning, lily, are you ready lily we have to go and hunt the goblins in the forest.
Lily: Mat, I suggest first you should absorb the monsters core you have got in the forest and level up few levels.
Mathew: that`s a good idea lily.
After that he sat down and took out the monster cores, he got from the iron clad lizard and the wolves.
He has gotten a total of six monsters' core from the monsters one from lizard and other from the wolves.
After that he took a monster core in his hand and started circulating the magic technique and the aura of the monster core started to seep into his body at a very fast speed and due to his special physique, he is absorbing only pure mana as all the impurities in the core is refined by his body.
After some time, he completely absorbed the core and he is nearing his next breakthrough as by absorbing two more he can break through to level seven.
Seeing this he became more enthusiastic and started to absorb the remaining core after four hours he has already finished absorbing the all his cores and he is now at level seven novice mage and can breakthrough to level eight by practicing in the magic realm for about an hour.
If someone out there saw him progressing so fast, they will definitely see him as monsters as people only level up once in a year and some might take even more time as the mana concentration in the air is low.
But Mathew has a haven defying physique and a technique which in the entire universe is only one.
Meanwhile lily was staring at Mathew when he was practicing diligently and became happy and thought he has to become strong as the dangers is approaching fast and the supreme beings of this universe is not able to hold for that long.
Mathew: lily lets go to magic realm as I am nearing the breakthrough and can level up one more time by practicing in the magic realm.
Lily: ok, Mat let`s go; saying that lily took Mathew inside the magic realm, after entering in the magic realm Mathew continued to practice and after some time he broke through a minor realm and reached level eight.
Mathew: Lily, do you have some sword technique for me to practice you know as I was fighting the wolves I felt that if I have a sword technique, I would have defeated those wolves more easily.
Lily: yes, Mat I have lots of techniques let`s see. Saying that lily took out lots of techniques from her collection of techniques.
Seeing so many techniques Mathew started to look through those techniques and choose a technique called Sky-Piercing Sword – A technique with concentrated thrust capable of piercing strong defenses. It is a progressive technique as it will evolve with the experience and talent of the user.
Mathew chooses this technique as he thought if there is a technique which only he can use and can mold the technique according to his preferences will be very good for his growth and future adventures.
Lily, seeing Mathew choose this technique also become happy as she doesn't want him to entirely depend on her and can move forward according to his own will and find his own strong and weak points otherwise, he will not be able to move to far in his cultivation journey.
After choosing the technique Mathew started to practice the technique and after practicing for about 20 hours, he became somewhat proficient in using the technique.
Mathew: lily let`s go and hunt some goblins and let's test this technique on them but lets first eat something I am super hungry.
After that they left the magic realm and moved to the restaurant of the inn they are staying and after eating some bread and some soup they moved towards the exit of the city and moved towards the silverleaf forest to hunt some goblins.
After entering the forest, they followed the map towards the place where the goblins are attacking the caravans of the merchants and the people.
After moving to that place, they started finding the marks of the goblins in the forest after walking some more Mathew heard the voices of fight so he started moving faster towards the voice.
After walking some distance, they came across a merchant caravan being attacked by the goblins and some soldiers trying to defend the caravan from the goblins but they are at disadvantage as all the soldiers are normal humans not mages.
Seeing the situation Mathew immediately took action and attacked the goblins attacking a soldier with fire bullet aiming for its head as it is most vulnerable part of the goblins.
After being hit by the magic bullet that goblin lay dead on the ground and the attention of all the goblins is sifted towards the Mathew. As mages are more delicious to these monsters than normal humans then normal humans as the bodies of the mages is nourished by the mana which is beneficial to these monsters.
Seeing them coming towards him Mathew took out his sword and by using his new sword technique Sky-Piercing Sword.....
