MAXIM'S POV
What did I just see?
I was stunned, with a chill running down my spine at what had just happened. One moment she was sick and throwing up, which may be the doing of our baby and the next, she was angry at the words I had spoken.
While she was fuming, something unique and strange happened. Her eyes and her skin became something else. Her blue eyes glowed and markings on her body had appeared, glowing a dull white.
What I had seen scared me to the bones, making me back away. Never in my full life of living have I seen such a phenomenon. It had been a flashing second and now, she was passed out on the floor, breathing soundly.
"Amaya… What are you?" I repeated and moved over to her then scooped her into my arms before rising to my feet.
I walked out of the bathroom and into the room where I laid her down on our bed. I covered her up and sat quietly beside her. I watched her as she slept, while trying to rack my brain to make sense of what I had seen.
