Chapter 12 - Chapter 12 Delamain Taxi

We walked down to the parking lot and approached V's car.

"You know, I've been wanting to buy a car for a long time," I said, looking at V.

"Well, I certainly won't stop you from spending your money. And I'm sure you have more than enough money to buy a car. What brand do you want?" V asked me as she got into the car. I immediately followed her.

"I think Quadra," I replied.

"Quadra? Are you sure? I don't mind, but they're pretty fast... Why do you need a car like that?" V asked.

"They're beautiful," I said, and at least they were better than the carriages in Japan, it was like comparing heaven and earth.

Although it's not entirely correct to compare eras with a separation of thousands of years.

Back then, the carriages were... Not comfortable. My butt was constantly sore from sitting for so long, but I had to do it, since I was accompanying the emperor's daughter.

I wonder how she is doing...

" For some reason I expected this. Anyway, we can go and pick out a car in a few days," said V, seeing the car.

" Okay... "- I didn't have time to finish, a taxi crashed into us, which quickly drove away

" What the hell! "- screamed V.

" That's a friend called an accident ,"- said Johnny, appearing in the back seat.

" Will you always appear unexpectedly? "- I asked, turning around.

" Well, sorry, little fox, but I'm sitting in her head, so you can't get rid of me for now ,"- he said and I could only sigh.

" Anyway, was that a Delomaine taxi ?"- asked V.

" I think so ,"- I answered.

"Well, it's the safest taxi in town, and for it not to crash into a car for no reason…"

"Well, that happens! I was looking at a butt…" Johnny started to say, but V interrupted him.

"We don't need to know what you were looking at," V said.

"As you wish! But thank God it wasn't my car, Kerry," he said.

"Anyway, what do we do now?" I asked.

"I just got a text from Delomaine asking me to come to the main office," V said.

"On what?" I asked, and V tried to start the engine, but without success.

"Well, you wanted to buy a car? Then it's time, while mine is being repaired," V said, getting out of the car.

I followed, slamming the door.

"So what are we going to do now?" I asked and V thought about it.

"I suggest we go to the Delomeine headquarters and see what he wants. Then we'll go meet that Japanese guy. And after the meeting, I think we can go pick out a car for you." V said, making a plan.

"But what do we take anyway?" I asked.

"The subway?" V asked back.

"The subway is for broke people!" Johnny said.

"Just like you?" I asked, smirking.

"Well, we don't have another car, and the taxi just fled the scene of the accident. We could walk, but that would take a long time." V said.

I could only sigh, because we'd have to go underground, which I didn't like. Underground, where you can't see the sky, I somehow felt uncomfortable. Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that I was a moon goddess in the past. Although, I don't feel any connection to this moon, which is why half of my strength was gone.

"I know you don't like the subway, but..." I interrupted her.

"It's okay, it's not fatal, I can survive it." I said smiling.

V nodded to me, we headed to the nearest subway station, where tickets were quickly being sold, and went to the place we needed. So that strangers wouldn't touch my tails, V sat me down, shielding me with her body, which was very nice of her. I wouldn't want anyone other than my loved ones to touch my tails

About twenty minutes later, we got to the right station, where we got off the subway.

After walking a few streets, we got to the taxi office.

Without thinking, we immediately entered, noticing a large line, which we bypassed when approaching the counter.

"Hello Del," V said to the screen, which showed a bald man in a suit.

"Good afternoon ma'am or sir!" he replied.

"Del, don't you recognize me, it's me, V!" my wife said.

"Sorry, you're talking to a subroutine that has limited capabilities…"

"The data is installed based on biometric indicators," Del said, in a slightly different tone.

"Uh, anyway, we're here from my broken car," V said.

"Yeah, sorry, I'm busy and it's hard for me to process too many requests. Anyway, let's talk somewhere else," he said, and a door opened next to us.

"There, are you coming with me or are you waiting?" V asked me.

"I think I'll wait outside, just don't be late," I said, kissing her.

Going outside, I just sat down on the nearest bench and just looked at this city, which a few years ago I would not have believed if someone had told me.

These machines, implants, and many other things that were alien to me, are already part of my life. As if it had always been like this...

Especially V!

Without her support, it would have been difficult for me to survive in this world, although I would not have died, but rather, in modern terms, went into hibernation mode until my body recovered.

After a while, someone sat down next to me, and I looked at who it was.

It was a woman, with red hair, wearing an outfit similar to those worn in China when I visited.

"Hello Tamamo," she said.

I raised an eyebrow.

"Have we met?" I asked the girl.

"Well, of course, just not in the literal sense. You are the goddess of the moon, of course you are described as evil, who wants to destroy humanity," she said.

"Well, first of all, I never said that I wanted to destroy humanity, and even more so, I did not try to kill the emperor. Secondly, how do you even know this?" I asked, surprised.

"Well, I am involved in the fact that you ended up in this world," the girl said.

I just looked at her to see if she was harmful. And as it turned out, I did not sense a lie in her words.

"Why?" I asked.

"And would you like to spend your whole life in the stone, hoping that someone will free you someday?" she asked.

"No…"

"Well, you see! You've been in this world for six months and you already have a wife, and you're pregnant." she said.

"But still… Who are you? If you have so much power, then you're a goddess, like me?"

"Yes and no! Yes, in the sense that I'm a goddess, in particular an angel goddess, and no, in the sense that I'm not like you. I'm not a goddess of one world, but of many." she said.

"I see… And what do you want from me?"

"Nothing! Well, I mean, I want to invite you to the pantheon, but you're free to refuse, I won't force you." she said, leaning back.

"Pantheon? Of course I know what a pantheon is, I was already a member of the Shintoist pantheon, but Amaterasu expelled me because of false accusations… But why me? I don't even have my old strength."

She just shrugged.

"Just like that! There's no great purpose to it!" she replied.

"I see… I can think about it?" I asked the girl.

"I'm in no hurry, you can think about it for a thousand years. In any case, I have to go, your wife is coming back." she said, standing up from the bench.

"Wait! At least tell me your name?" I asked.

She turned around and had a bright smile on her face.

"Yin." she replied and walked away.

I could only watch her go…

Damn, I forgot to ask if she could help V.

Sigh. Well, I'm sure we'll meet again.

"Tama? Who were you talking to?" V asked me, sitting down next to me.

"You haven't seen her?" I asked, surprised.

"Her? There was no one here." V said.

That's weird...

"Anyway, what did Del tell you?" I asked, trying to change the subject.

"Well, he asked for help with returning the machines that had developed their own personalities." V said.

"So, daddy wants his kids to come home?" I asked.

"Something like that. Anyway, I saved it for later." V said, leaning against me.

"What are we going to do next?" I asked, resting my head on V's shoulder, who grabbed my tails and started petting them.

"Let's sit for a little while longer," she said, to which I purred contentedly, enjoying her attention.
