At this moment, the Scarlet Witch looked at Finn expectantly, as if hoping for the perfect answer from him.
Although she knew full well he might not say it directly, she still hoped he would. If he did, it would make her heart light up for a long time.
Finn looked at her hopeful face and suddenly smiled. "How should I put it... your body is very beautiful. It feels... untouched by the filth of the world."
Hearing those words, a radiant smile immediately appeared on the Scarlet Witch's face, blooming like flower petals. Her smile was utterly charming.
Before he could say anything more, Wanda turned around and reappeared in a distinct outfit—a casual, sporty ensemble that made her look like a relaxed athlete.
"I'm ready. Let's go."
After speaking, she headed straight toward the door, not forgetting to call the other two along.
Moments later, the trio was outside.
They didn't choose to leave Westview. The town was incredibly peaceful and comfortable.
That was precisely why they picked this spot. It was a place of serenity.
"After all the battles we've gone through, it seems like we haven't had a walk like this in ages. This kind of life is rare," Wanda said openly.
She didn't need to hide anything anymore. The three of them strolled along the coastline, enjoying the sea breeze. Smiles lit up their faces, their steps light, as if they were genuinely part of this world now—no longer burdened by anxiety or turmoil.
This kind of life had always been what they longed for.
But it had always been fleeting.
That made the peace they were experiencing now all the more precious.
"Exactly," Finn replied. "It'd be amazing if we could keep living like this, without any worries or entanglements."
The Scarlet Witch didn't disagree. This time, she nodded and even echoed him. For someone like her, this kind of life was invaluable.
If there were no more emergencies or world-ending threats looming over them, they could just enjoy everything around them. Finn immediately nodded, because what they said was the truth. A peaceful, carefree life was exactly what he wanted too.
But reality wouldn't allow it.
Too many problems had emerged recently, too many threats unresolved. Worse yet, some were still growing in the shadows, dangerous and uncontainable.
The stress of those events was almost unbearable.
And without real contingency plans, survival in this world—especially as enhanced individuals—was nearly impossible.
Even if they didn't consider themselves Earth's protectors, as beings living on this planet, they couldn't turn a blind eye to the threats that plagued it.
"It's okay. Once everything's settled, we'll find a perfect place to live in seclusion. No one will challenge that decision," Finn said firmly.
He meant every word. He knew the only way to truly have peace was to work for it—defeat the rising dangers, close every loose end.
If not, chaos would return. New threats would emerge.
"We believe in you," Wanda and Dark Witch said in unison.
Their voices carried conviction. They understood Finn's resolve. When he made a promise, he would see it through.
Their trust in him ran deep.
Finn glanced at both of them, surprised by their simultaneous response. He hadn't expected such synchronicity between them—especially considering how often they'd clashed in the past.
In truth, their past conflicts were sharp and heated, filled with arguments and accusations. But now? They exchanged a knowing look and burst into laughter.
The sound was light, sincere—like the laughter of people who had just realized how silly their old grudges were.
Without wasting any more time, the trio continued their walk.
Children played in the distance, and teenagers lounged around. The entire beachfront neighborhood was alive with joy, like something out of a utopian theme park.
But it wasn't just the fun. There was a serene comfort here, a lack of tension, a silence that didn't demand to be filled.
That tranquility brought a natural smile to their faces.
"Finn, look! It's so lively over there. Let's check it out!"
Wanda had spotted a gathering and instantly took Finn's hand, pulling him eagerly in that direction.
Dark Witch followed without delay, her pace quick. She seemed drawn in, fully enjoying herself.
"Wait for me, you two!" she called out.
She wasn't about to miss out on this. Today, this carefree world held a powerful allure even for her.
Soon, they reached the seaside. The sun bathed the sand and sea in golden light, warm but not blistering. The salty air brushed their faces with comforting heat.
"This place is amazing," Wanda said, arms wide open. "If only we could stay here forever."
She turned her face up to the sun, her skin radiant, her features serene. There was a purity about her in that moment—untainted, full of quiet joy.
"Honestly, Westview doesn't seem any less divine than Asgard ever was," she added.
The mention of the celestial realm wasn't just poetic. Wanda had glimpsed realms beyond Earth—she knew the weight of such comparisons.
"Not just you... I feel it too," Dark Witch said softly.
Her tone was no longer cold or cynical. She, too, was letting go of the harshness she once wore like armor.
The warmth on their cheeks, the gentle heat from the ocean breeze—every part of this scene made them feel truly alive.
They stood there in silence for a while, letting the moment settle into their bones. For once, none of them needed to be heroes. For once, they could just be people.
And in that fleeting peace, hope lingered like the salt in the air.
They knew the world would pull them back soon enough.
But for now—they belonged to the sun, the sand, and each other.
