Chapter 255 - Chapter 255 : Illusory Land!

"Go to hell, it's over!!"

Finn roared, turning his wrist slightly, and the blade drew a beautiful arc, slashing toward the troll's neck.

At that moment, the troll also reacted. Its pupils reflected the dagger, and it let out a mournful cry, trembling all over, closing its eyes in unwillingness. There was too much anger and frustration in its heart, but everything was over.

Bang!!

The troll's body hit the ground with a thunderous crash, cracking the ground beneath.

But in that instant, the sword blade had already pierced the troll's throat, and blood began to pour from the wound, staining the world a deep crimson.

"Ha ha..." Finn looked up at the sky and laughed, as if releasing all the pent-up emotions in his chest. He stared at the corpse of the troll lying on the ground with a ferocious expression. "You're finally dead, aren't you? What, don't you think this is ridiculous?"

But suddenly, the troll's eyes snapped open. A strange expression crossed its face, and a cruel sneer appeared at the corner of its mouth. It extended its scarlet tongue and licked its lips, then with an incredible amount of strength, it forced itself up from the ground.

"What?!"

Finn's pupils narrowed in disbelief. This was impossible!

"Damn! This guy is still alive!"

Finn's heart raced as he quickly dodged to the side. His sword had only grazed the troll's skin, not delivering a fatal blow.

"Jie, jie, jie..." the troll cackled menacingly. "Human, you're powerful, but I won't let you escape!"

With unnatural speed, the troll charged, its claws reaching for Finn's neck.

"Damn it! Get the hell away from me!!"

Finn shouted, his wrist snapping as he swung the blade again, slashing at the troll's arm. Sparks flew, but the troll didn't slow down. It threw Finn off with a brutal swipe, sending him flying. The troll opened its massive, fang-filled mouth, aiming to sink its teeth into Finn's shoulder.

By sheer luck, Finn managed to dodge in time, narrowly avoiding a crippling injury.

"It would have been great to eat your flesh, but it's a pity..." the troll grinned, blood dripping from its teeth as it sneered.

"I don't believe your strength can improve any further!"

Finn growled, slamming his feet into the ground and retreating, his right hand raised. The sword blade shot forward toward the troll.

Psst!

The blade pierced the troll's abdomen, leaving a transparent hole, but the attack barely fazed it. The troll's strength was still immense, unaffected by the minor wound.

"Jie, jie, jie... Your strength is too weak, like an ant!"

The troll's voice grew even colder. With every step, the ground trembled beneath its massive weight, and its aura grew more menacing, reaching its peak.

"Damn it!" Finn cursed, his pulse racing. He knew he had to act fast.

"Looks like I'll have to give it everything I've got!"

Finn's gaze hardened, his fist clenching as his body suddenly surged into the air, crashing into the troll with an incredible force!

Boom!

The impact of Finn's punch staggered the troll back, but it only took a moment to recover and maintain its pursuit. Its aura reached new heights, and Finn could feel the overwhelming pressure it exerted.

"Damn it!" Finn muttered to himself, frustration mounting. He had believed that after improving his own strength, he could turn the tide, but the troll was still superior, its power not wavering in the slightest.

"Jie, jie, jie... Humans, I will tear you apart piece by piece!"

The troll's sinister laughter echoed as it raised its right arm, swinging it viciously.

Whoosh!

A gust of wind whipped through the air, and Finn desperately tried to avoid the blow, but one of his arms was grazed by the strike, blood spilling down his limb.

"Damn thing, today, either you die or I do!" Finn shouted, his figure rising again, sword in hand. He shot forward, charging at the troll with all his remaining strength.

Swoosh!

A flash of scarlet erupted from the blade.

"Is this all you've got? Or am I overestimating you?"

The troll stood still, watching Finn with mockery in its eyes. It shook its head twice, as though dismissing Finn's efforts.

"You humble ant, don't you want to keep fighting? Why don't you try a little harder?" The troll sneered, walking closer with deliberate slowness. "Since you're too scared to keep trying, then just be eaten by me."

Finn gritted his teeth, his breath heavy with exertion, eyes burning with hate. "Beast! I'm going to kill you!"

Fueled by anger, Finn lunged at the troll, hoping for one final strike.

But then, the troll came to a halt. Its eyes filled with a vicious glare, and it roared, "Stupid fool, you think you've succeeded in a sneak attack? You don't even know who I am! I'm a troll, a terrifying being. You can never defeat me!"

"So what if you're terrifying?" Finn retorted, his voice cold and determined. "Today, I'm going to chop off your head like a bedbug!"

With a roar, Finn leaped into the air again, his body slamming into the troll with the force of a cannonball.

"Heh, courting death," the troll sneered.

With equal ferocity, the troll charged forward.

The distance between them shrank to nothing in a heartbeat, and in the next instant, Finn's blade cut through the troll's thick, impenetrable skin, sinking deep into its chest.

But something unexpected happened!

"Roar!"

The troll's roar exploded outward, creating a shockwave that nearly tore the surrounding foliage apart!

Finn was blown back by the force of the blast, his clothes torn and his body aching from the sheer impact.

Despite the pain, Finn's mind sharpened, his resolve solidifying.

"Hahaha!"

The troll's wild laughter rang in the air. "I've been patient with you for so long. I've wanted to tear you apart from the very beginning. Our kind has lived in this illusion for millennia. Do you honestly think a weakling like you can destroy our civilization? Such foolishness!"

"However, I do have to give you credit. Your courage and persistence are beyond my expectations. But don't worry, I'll consume you, and you'll serve as my nourishment!"

The troll's eyes gleamed with hunger as it charged once again.
