When Tsunade opened her eyes, there was a conflicted expression on her face. She turned to Akane, who had his usual chill expression, and Tsunade opened her mouth to say something. But no words came out of her mouth, and in the end, she just sighed.
'Everyone is just trying to survive,'
These words came to her mind, and she understood what Akane was processing before when they were together.
"What do you think can be done?" Tsunade asked, waiting for Akane to say something and find a solution, but this time, Akane shook his head and said, "Nothing can be done."
"Really?" Tsunade asked again because she felt like Akane knew what could be done, but he didn't want to get involved in this stuff and life before, Akane repeated his words, "Nothing can be done."
Tsunade stared at Akane for some time, but in the end, Akane didn't change his words, nor did he say anything. He already knew why, how and what things were happening, and he didn't have time to care about these things.
'As long as people around me are safe, I am okay. But thinking of her personality, she will surely try to do something, wouldn't she?'
Thinking of this, Akane turned towards Tsunade, and their eyes met. One had a look of annoyance in them, and the other had a look of defiance in them. Looking into Akane's eyes, Tsunade understood what he was thinking, but before she could say anything, Akane murmured, "Family before anything, okay? Or I will lock you in a room and make you understand this thoroughly. Do you understand?"
"Huh?" Tsunade's body froze when she heard his words. Looking into his eyes, she could see how serious he was, and even though she felt like she should agree with him, there was a feeling of defiance in her heart to know what she would do.
"And, how will make me understand this 'thoroughly'?" Tsunade asked, an amused and teasing appearance on her face. Besides being curious, she also had faint expectations in her heart.
Akane rolled his eyes at her actions. He knew what she was thinking, but he didn't plan on fulfilling her wishes for now.
"I will deal with you later, for now. Let's focus on what we have to do."
Tsunade wanted to speak her mind, but she knew what was the important thing to do right now. She nodded at him and looked in the direction of the camp with a thoughtful face. Some time passed by, and the time to attack the camp arrived.
"It's time to start."
Akane and Tsunade disappeared from their places. They were just a few hundred metres away from camp and taking advantage of the change in shift, Tsunade and Akane decided to ambush a Jonin and take his place.
"Zetsu is ready and tailing him," Akane murmured, and Tsunade nodded at him. They were hiding on a tree branch and looking at the place where the new Jonin would stay and guard. The Zetsu was tailing the Jonin, and just when the Jonin was a few metres away from them, from the spores, the Zetsu came out and covered the Jonin's mouth.
Taking the opportunity, both Tsunade and Aakane rushed at the Jonin, who was shocked by something coming out of his body. Before he could react, his head was hit by Akane, and Tsunade struck his back.
In that instant, the Jonin lost his consciousness, and Akane asked Zetsu to cover and impersonate him.
"One down, four more to go," Tsunade murmured, and Akane nodded at her. Akane created a Shadow clone that took the form of the Jonin and started to 'guard' the place while the Zetsu impersonating the Jonin started to walk towards the other guarding Jonin's place.
"Let's go," Akane murmured, and Tsunade nodded at him. They tailed the Zetsu, but in between, someone appeared.
"Masao, what are you doing here? You are supposed to be guarding right now."
Hearing the words, Tsunade and Akane, who were hiding behind, looked at each other and nodded. The Zetsu walked towards the Jonin and the Jonin noticed something in the Zetsu.
"You are not Masao,"
From the way Zetsu walked, the Jonin felt that he wasn't looking at Masao but at someone who looked exactly the same as Masao. He understood that it was an emergency situation since no one heard the sounds of fighting but one of their men was down.
Taking the moment in which Jonin was distracted, Akane decided to attack him. Chaims shot from his body and rushed towards the Jonin. At that moment, Tsunade also rushed to the Jonin and she made sure her presence was known to the Jonin.
Noticing someone rushing at him, the Jonin backed away and started to form hand seals. He decided to use the Earth Release: Earth Wall technique to guard himself and block the enemy's vision to deal with them but when his hand seals were complete, nothing happened.
It was because of several chains around him and sealing the chakra he was about to use.
"There were two ene--"
The Jonin tried to speak something but his mouth was covered by the chains and Akane stopped him from speaking any further.
"I am sure they know now," Tsunade said as she used sensory technique and noticed many chakras rushing in their direction.
"Yeah, they are arriving here." Akane nodded at her words and mentioned what he could sense using Kagura's Mind Eye technique.
"Let's increase from two Jonin to three," Tsunade said after thinking for a moment and Akane chuckled at her words. He knocked the Jonin in the chains and another Zetsu took him away.
While the Iwa Ninjas were rushing to their place, Tsunade and Akane created Shadow clones who transformed into several people. Not only that, they placed several detonating talismans around and Akane placed other trap seals around.
"It will be fun," he murmured with a glint in his eyes. Akane knew that this fight would make him famous in Konoha if Hokage decided to spread the things around and maybe infamous in other villages too if someone else decided to interfere.
