Chapter 355 - Naruto:Immortality-Chapter 7: Danzo's Arrival

Afterward, Fugaku shared everything he knew about the Sharingan with Rin without any psychological burden. After all, this girl named Rin had been introduced by Sensei—there was no need to be cautious. After seeing off the troubled little girl, Fugaku finally returned home.

In the kitchen, his virtuous and intelligent wife was cooking, while his adorable and sensible son sprawled across the coffee table, scribbling and drawing. Looking at his warm and lovely family, Fugaku rubbed his temples with some distress.

Ever since Uncle Kagami had returned to Konoha that one time, he increasingly felt how unbearable life in Konoha had become. This was a village that didn't welcome the Uchiha. Here, no matter how fairly the Konoha Police Force acted, there were always various rumors spreading through the streets and alleys.

Fugaku knew there wasn't actually anyone pulling strings behind the scenes. It was just that "covertly excluding the Uchiha" seemed to have become a kind of invisible political correctness. This gave him quite a headache!

On top of that, the Uchiha were all proud and extremely sensitive individuals—how could they not sense this exclusion hidden in the villagers' every word and action?! In this situation, even if the village leadership wasn't scheming in the shadows, the Uchiha clan still wouldn't have it easy.

Thinking of this, Fugaku kept a straight face while sighing deeply in his heart. To be honest, if it weren't for those clansmen who had gradually gathered behind him over the years in the Police Force, he really wouldn't want to wade into these muddy waters.

He'd heard that Uncle Kagami in Amegakure, aside from watching gates, drinking tea, and taking care of children, could even listen to music at pleasure quarters when he had nothing else to do~ That was the kind of life a human being should live!

And now the clan elders were urging the clansmen to reclaim the Sharingan. Of course, not Rin's pair, but Kakashi's. This behavior, in Fugaku's view, was no different from being brain-dead.

What was Hatake Kakashi's background? Son of Konoha's White Fang Hatake Sakumo, disciple of the Golden Flash Namikaze Minato. Not even mentioning that Namikaze Minato was the Third Hokage's grand-disciple— just considering Uncle Sakumo's friendship with his sensei, they couldn't touch this kid Kakashi!

Thinking of this, Fugaku's head tilted, and his thoughts suddenly wandered off to Java. Come to think of it, he, Uchiha Fugaku, also had quite the background!!! The Daimyo of the Land of Rain was his sensei, Amegakure's founding leader was his senior sister, Konoha's Ramen Emperor Teuchi was his senior brother, plus Uncle Kagami and Uncle Sakumo...

Damn, he was actually a second-generation elite too?!

Realizing this, Fugaku immediately stopped worrying and broke into a beaming smile as he watched his wife's graceful silhouette in the kitchen.

On the other side of the village, Danzo sat leisurely at his dining table, put down his chopsticks, and sipped tea with a smile. He'd recently replaced three vigorous death row inmates' hearts. His back didn't ache, his legs didn't hurt, and he could eat three bowls of sea bream sushi ochazuke in one go. Plus, the Fourth Hokage candidate was almost certain—Namikaze Minato, who had shone brilliantly in this war.

For him, as long as the Fourth wasn't Rinjin—that bastard who clashed with his destiny— he could accept anyone~ After all, he could survive! A thousand-year turtle outlives all those short-lived ghosts.

Contentedly burping, Danzo grabbed his cane and prepared to stroll the streets to digest his meal. Just as he stepped out of his dining room, a pair of greasy hands pressed down on his shoulders. In front of him, a Rinjin clone wearing an apron stood grinning, blocking Danzo's path.

"Brother Danzo, I'm delivering a message from the original. Ahem... Sunagakure has something fun going on—come quickly!"

Danzo pursed his lips, brushed off the other clone's greasy hands from behind, and looked with disgust at the yellow oil stains on his white clothes. "Tsk tsk tsk, disgusting! Can't Rinjin send two cleaner clones?"

Hearing this, the apron clone immediately became displeased and said with a straight face: "I'll tell the original you refused." With that, he grabbed the other clone and prepared to flee.

Danzo's body instinctively shuddered as countless scenes of being screwed over flashed through his mind. Damn! This guy's clones were just as wicked as the original! It's one thing for the original to screw me over, but even a mere clone wants to use the original to mess with me!

In a flash, Danzo grabbed the clone's greasy apron urgently: "I'll go! I'll go, isn't that enough?"

The clone shook his head disdainfully: "All of us Rinjin hate being forced. Looking at your reluctant expression, you clearly don't want to go. Forget it, I'm leaving."

Danzo wanted to punch this incredibly annoying shadow clone to death. However, he still forcibly suppressed his inner resentment and forced a dry smile onto his face. "Brother! Danzo! I love Sunagakure the most! Quickly take this old man to see what's happening!"

Seeing this scene, the apron shadow clone finally broke into a wicked grin. "Don't worry, Brother Danzo. If anything happens with Root, I'll notify you!" With that, the apron clone winked at the Root members hiding in the shadows. The next second, two yellow hands pressed down on Danzo's shoulders, and all three vanished.

...

Sunagakure, in Kaza's luxurious living room. Rinjin smiled as he poured tea for his dear Brother Danzo. "Come, my dear brother, have some tea to calm your nerves."

Danzo took the teacup without enthusiasm, his gaze casually surveying everything around him. Thick cashmere carpets, obviously expensive paintings, crystal windows, golden furniture, and this cup of premium tea from the Land of Tea in front of him... Everything spoke of the owner's wealth.

Compared to Rinjin's house at 66 Mingcha Street, this place was absurdly luxurious! Suppressing his inner shock, Danzo took a sip of tea and unconsciously said: "Rinjin, you bast... cough cough cough... you're doing quite well for yourself! So tell me, what do you want this time?"

Rinjin chuckled and, like a magician, produced a hat with "Wind" written on the front and placed it on the coffee table. "Brother Danzo, I invited you here to let you experience what it feels like to be a Kage."

"What do you mean?"

"Exactly what I said."

Then Rinjin laid out everything he'd done in Sunagakure over the past three years, right up to his visit to the Kazekage's office that afternoon.

When his calm narration ended, Danzo was stunned. After a long while, he finally recovered and asked incredulously: "In three years, you went from a spoiled clan brat to the center of power?"

Rinjin, who was drinking tea, smiled and nodded, speaking persuasively: "How about it, brother? Don't you find it exciting and immersive?"

Danzo unconsciously nodded, then suddenly snapped to attention and shook his head frantically. Honestly, saying he wasn't impressed would be a lie. Rinjin made it sound simple, but Danzo was an old hand at power struggles—he naturally knew how much effort this required. What shocked him most was that Rinjin hadn't accomplished all this through force. Instead, this guy had relied solely on his tongue, forming alliances and connections, to eliminate many people he himself had wanted gone.

Thinking of this, Danzo—who had seen... well... been passively exposed to great storms—easily suppressed his inner surprise and spoke hesitantly: "So why did you bring me here?"
