In the deserted alley, Rinjin sat casually on the ground, watching the White Zetsu clone before him with amusement—the creature wore a fawning smile.
"Well, well, kid. You've been tailing me for quite some time, haven't you? Back in Sunagakure, I turned a blind eye. But you're still following me all the way to Kirigakure?"
Hearing this, the White Zetsu clone kept his head down but sneaked a peek at Rinjin, his face full of ingratiating smiles.
"Great Sage, I had no choice! Look at me—just a tiny clone. What right do I have to refuse Lord Madara? So please, just treat me like a fart and let me go!"
Heh heh~ Rinjin burst out laughing.
"You know what it feels like to fart, kid? If you can give me the full rundown, I don't mind letting you go."
At these words, White Zetsu's face immediately crumpled, and even the green hair on his head drooped.
"Sir, please don't make things difficult for me. If I knew what farting felt like, I'd be willing to drop dead right here and now."
Hearing this, Rinjin raised an eyebrow, mischief bubbling up inside him.
"I'll teach you. When you get back, find a few White Zetsu buddies you're tight with and pin down your worst enemy. Then grab a stick and give your enemy's rear a good, hard jab, pump some air in there. Finally, plug up the exit and let him slowly release the gas. That way, you'll know exactly what farting feels like!"
The next second, the White Zetsu clone was stunned! Not only wasn't this guy angry about being tailed—he was actually teaching him how to fart! And from his tone, he really seemed willing to let him go?!
"Sir, you're really going to let me go?"
"Get lost, get lost! Next time we meet, don't forget to hand in an essay about your farting experience!"
At that, the White Zetsu clone shuddered violently and nodded like a pecking chicken.
"Oh right, what's your name?"
"Uh... I... I don't have a name."
Hearing this, Rinjin narrowed his eyes, stroking his chin thoughtfully.
"Alright then. From now on, I'll call you Ajie!"
"Ajie?!" White Zetsu repeated the name, his eyes suddenly lighting up, mouth splitting into a huge grin.
"Aha! I have a name! Saikō!"
Watching the White Zetsu act like he'd lost his mind, Rinjin stood up with a smile and strolled leisurely out of the empty alley.
Sigh~ My irresistible charm... I hope Lord Madara appreciates it.
Back at Master Gen's residence, little Mei Terumi was already waiting at the door. Rinjin approached and, somewhat reluctantly, patted the girl's head gently.
"All set?"
Hearing this, Mei Terumi nodded with slightly red eyes. Obviously, she couldn't bear to leave the man who'd raised her single-handedly. Even though this father figure was often nowhere to be found, their home was always there—it never left. Now, home felt so far away, and a strange sense of unease suddenly crept over her.
Looking at Mei Terumi's red-rimmed eyes, Rinjin sighed softly.
"Come on, let's go see your new home."
Hearing this, Mei Terumi said nothing, just stared down at the damp ground. After a long while, her voice finally emerged, thick with tears.
"Old man, do you think I'm selfish? I've eaten your food, lived off you, and now that I have some ability... I'm still thinking about..."
Her voice grew quieter and quieter as teardrops pattered onto the ground.
Hearing this, Rinjin couldn't help but chuckle, ruffling the little girl's silky hair with the same indulgent affection as always.
"Your old man here~ I used to be like a kite in the sky—someone had to hold the string, or I'd drift into the darkness where no one could see me. Now you've become the kite. Do you need your old man to hold the string?"
At these words, the little girl suddenly looked up and threw herself into her beloved father's arms, burying her face in his chest as tears poured down like rain.
After all, she was only twelve years old. No matter how mature she seemed, she was still just a child.
...
In a secret underground base within the Land of Fire, white-haired Madara Uchiha reclined on a stone chair, the massive Demonic Statue of the Outer Path looming behind him.
Not far in front of him, a half-crippled boy was struggling through push-ups. On his back, a swirl-faced White Zetsu was scribbling notes.
At first glance, nothing seemed particularly strange. But if you looked carefully, you'd notice Lord Madara's face was frighteningly dark, while the boy named Obito was desperately trying not to laugh.
There was only one reason: the constant sounds echoing from the other end of the cave—
"Ajie, no~" "Ajie, stop it~" "Ajie~ aah~"
Accompanied by repeated whoosh whoosh sounds of escaping gas, the spacious cavern finally fell silent.
The White Zetsu called Ajie, along with two accomplices, was pinning another White Zetsu to the ground, interrogating him about something.
"Speak! What does farting actually feel like?!" came the demanding voice.
The White Zetsu pinned to the ground shook his head in humiliation, his expression somewhere between agony and... something else.
"Let me up! I don't know!"
"Huh?! Still trying to lie? You were moaning with pleasure, and you say you don't know?!"
As the interrogation escalated, the pinned White Zetsu finally let out a heart-wrenching cry.
"It can only be experienced, never described!"
In an instant, the entire cavern fell so silent you could hear a pin drop. Countless White Zetsu clones looked at each other. Though their eyes held anticipation, there was far more fear. After all, that Yin-Yang Release black rod was way too thick!
Madara Uchiha sat on his stone chair, his aged face full of pain and despair. Honestly, he wanted to die! Right now, immediately! Someone please pull the plug!
Just as the silence reached its peak, a spatial ripple appeared, and a tall, imposing figure materialized beside Ajie. The next second, malicious laughter rang out.
"Heh heh heh~ You actually went through with it?! Very efficient, Ajie!"
Hearing this, Ajie scratched his head sheepishly. "Sir, you flatter me. That was just the first one—we haven't even gotten his thoughts on the experience yet~"
"Mm, keep up the good work~" Rinjin nodded and walked toward Madara Uchiha with a smile.
Reaching Madara, Rinjin casually grabbed a chair from nearby and sat down.
"Lord Madara, how have you been lately?"
The moment he finished speaking, Obito, who was doing push-ups on the ground, suddenly shouted.
"The uncle from 66 Mingcha Street!!!"
Then Obito excitedly threw off the swirl-faced White Zetsu on his back and limped over to Rinjin.
"Uncle! How's Rin?!"
Glancing at the excited boy beside him, Rinjin's gaze inadvertently swept over Madara Uchiha's slightly narrowed eyes, then he shrugged casually.
"Sorry, kid. I haven't been in Konoha lately, so I'm not really sure."
Before he'd finished, Obito urgently spoke up again.
"Are you going back to Konoha now? Can you take me with you?"
On the other side, Madara's narrowed eyes flashed with murderous intent for just an instant, but Rinjin caught it.
Seeing this, Rinjin shook his head again.
"Sorry, I don't have any plans to go to Konoha recently. Besides, I'm not from Konoha—getting in and out of the village is quite troublesome. The only reason Rin is staying at my place is because I'm old friends with her mother. And kid, you can barely walk steadily—you should focus on recovering first~"
With that, Rinjin turned away, no longer looking at the boy.
Honestly, he had the ability to save him, but there was absolutely no need. Without this Obito, wouldn't there just be other Obi-water, Obi-wind, or Obi-fire to take his place? As long as Madara Uchiha still clung to the Eye of the Moon Plan, tragedy would never stop. Without this Obito, there would be someone else. Someone else would bear the suffering and try to change the world. And when that time came, who would remember the person who lived out a happy life?!
This kid was nothing more than a microcosm of this entire tragedy~
