Chapter 372 - Chapter 24: Third Raikage VS Ten Thousand Iwagakure

Konoha Year 47.

Rinjin, having returned to Amegakure, once again lived a leisurely and happy life.

In the outside world, the war continued.

Kirigakure had replaced Sunagakure's position, fighting Konoha to the death. However, the intensity of the war had decreased significantly.

Aside from occasionally sending small squads to invade Konoha, Iwagakure had basically withdrawn most of their forces.

Kirigakure's Seven Ninja Swordsmen had been kicked into the "Lucky Two Treasures" by a man named Might Duy.

Why was there one extra death? Because the new wielder of Samehada had never even touched the great sword.

Kirigakure had tried several times to summon Samehada back through summoning jutsu. The great sword did return, but along with it came a burly man with the character "Hard" tattooed on his shoulder.

The man shouted "Surprise, motherfucker!" while swinging Samehada to slap everyone present into submission.

Then the new Seven Ninja Swordsmen, without Samehada, were beaten into pulp by Duy.

Kumogakure consistently maintained their principle of being the last to leave the battlefield. The young A and B combination fought back and forth with Minato Namikaze on the Lightning-Fire battlefield.

And Rinjin honestly stayed in Amegakure, cultivating his second-generation Amegakure.

At the Amegakure village gate, Rinjin leisurely cracked sunflower seeds while reading a coverless book with great interest.

"Sakumo-nii, what do you think those novel writers are thinking about?"

Hearing this, Sakumo withdrew his gaze from observing passersby, pondered for a moment, then answered:

"Probably thinking about how to find excuses to delay or discontinue updates. Last time I went to Shueisha to buy books, some bastard told me the author I was following had his leg broken for peeping. The key thing is, that author was clearly writing women's fiction."

"Jiraiya?"

"No, Jiraiya's pen name is 'Handsome Toad'; it wasn't Jiraiya."

"..."

After a moment of silence, just as Rinjin was about to say something else, a strange pulling force suddenly appeared in his heart.

Eh? That guy is using summoning jutsu to call me?

Muttering to himself, Rinjin waved at Sakumo:

"Sakumo-nii, watch things alone for a bit. I have something to do."

Without waiting for Sakumo's agreement, he disappeared in a puff of white smoke with a "bang."

Looking at the direction where Rinjin disappeared, Sakumo rolled his eyes speechlessly and muttered:

"That bastard slipped away again! Damn it, this time I'm definitely reporting you to the village chief's office and having your sister dock your pay!"

On the other side, Rinjin responded to the summons and appeared in a place that felt strangely familiar yet somewhat foreign.

Around him, mountains stood like swords and blades. Not far away, countless ninjas wearing earth-yellow vests swarmed like ants.

At the very front of these ninjas, an azure humanoid light stood resolutely.

Turning around, a familiar and dear face appeared in Rinjin's vision.

"Yabai! Long time no see, I missed you to death! Come! Give me a kiss~"

A slender palm pressed against Rinjin's forehead, blocking his attack route. Yabai, ripe as a peach, rolled her eyes speechlessly.

Men's mouths, lying ghosts!

All these years and you never came back to see this old lady. You only come back when this old lady is about to die!

To say she wasn't resentful would be a lie. But to say there was any real hatred in her heart—there really wasn't. After all, they were all ninjas, and love was rather distant for people like them.

Holding back Rinjin, Yabai forcibly suppressed a belly full of words and pointed toward the distant battlefield.

"Rinjin, help!"

"I won't help." Rinjin shook his head without thinking. "Why would I help without any benefits?"

Hearing this, Yabai gave Rinjin a look with eyes like autumn water, her red lips parting slightly.

"What benefits do you want?"

"Uh..." Rinjin's eyes rolled, then he smiled: "Lend me your Kumogakure's Amber Purifying Pot to play with for a while."

Hearing this, Yabai immediately rolled her eyes irritably and pushed Rinjin impatiently.

"Fine, I agree. Now hurry down and help."

Seeing this, Rinjin finally walked toward the edge of the mountain peak with a smile.

Ahead were dense Iwagakure troops, behind was Kumogakure. It looked like Ōnoki had been preparing for this day for a long time.

Actually, even before the Second Shinobi War began, Kumogakure and Iwagakure had already formed a grudge. The Four-Tails Son Gokū was snatched away by the Third Raikage at that time.

After the Second War began, the then-Third Raikage brazenly ambushed Iwagakure, borrowing a route through the Land of Iron to strike into the Land of Earth.

It had to be said, the Second Tsuchikage specialized in targeting Mizukage, while the Third Tsuchikage Ōnoki specialized in targeting Raikage. This Iwagakure really wasn't honest at all.

The war had just begun, and Raikage-san could probably hold out for another three days by conservative estimates. With that rock-hard muscle of his, ordinary people really couldn't do anything to him.

Thinking of this, Rinjin sighed leisurely and moved his head around.

Being able to coordinate with my Raikage-bro—it's been a while! How about an elderly A-B combination?

Tearing off the sleeves of his black combat uniform, exposing his muscular arms, Rinjin leaped from the cliff.

"BOOM!" A tremendous crash.

Below the cliff, the rapidly descending body heavily struck the ground, raising massive clouds of dust.

The next second, within the unclear smoke and dust, accompanied by the piercing roar of lightning explosions, blue electric light flickered faintly.

The Third Raikage A, rapidly moving through the crowd, glanced back and a trace of suspicion flashed in his eyes.

That guy is back?!

However, before he could think more, an arrogant roar exploded from the smoke.

"Hahaha, chicken soup is here~"

As his words fell, large amounts of viscous earth-yellow liquid surged wildly from the smoke, rushing toward the Iwagakure troops like flowing waves.

Upon returning to Kumogakure, Rinjin felt like his brain had been eaten by zombies. If the him in Sunagakure never used any physical means, then the him in Kumogakure had no such attribute as intelligence.

As toad oil surged, Rinjin's figure, flashing with blue electric light, appeared before ten thousand Iwagakure ninjas.

"Let's clear the field first. Fire Release: Toad Oil Flame Bullet!"

The tough nose hairs hidden deep in his nostrils struck sparks. In an instant, flames soared skyward.

Rinjin didn't care whether this move would affect the Third Raikage A—after all, big brother was rock-hard and very fire-resistant.

At the same time, in the well-commanded Iwagakure position, a thick and long high wall rose from the ground.

"Earth Release: Earth-Style Wall."

In an instant, the earth cracked open, and the tall wall blocked the surging toad oil.

While this move preserved most of the Iwagakure ninjas, it also trapped a few ninjas outside the earth wall. The entire battlefield was immediately divided into two parts.

On one side were Iwagakure ninjas continuously attacking around the Third Raikage, on the other side was a raging sea of fire.
