Chapter 376 - Chapter 28: Bonds

Beside Rinjin, the dark-faced Sakumo couldn't hold back and snorted, sending snot shooting out of his nostril.

The next second, Rinjin's face grew even darker.

"Are you all carrying the same one?"

Hearing this, the three immediately nodded repeatedly.

"Ah yes yes yes, it's the same one."

As soon as the words fell, Uchiha Mikoto at the front of the group instantly turned around, looking at her husband with terror.

On the other side, little Ayame, who had been following behind Teuchi, immediately showed an "I knew it" expression on her face.

It seemed this girl, despite her young age, had quite dangerous thoughts.

Faced with this scene, Rinjin was completely speechless with these three idiots and roared:

"Damn it, you've been laughing non-stop this whole time!"

Suddenly, a pair of slender hands appeared rapidly in his vision, an index finger heavily flicking his swollen forehead.

"Rinjin, you've gone too far! After bullying me, you want to bully my students too! Come on, come with me!"

Tsunade protected the three like a mother hen guarding her chicks, glaring angrily at Rinjin.

Seeing this, Rinjin sighed with a dark face, then waved at the three.

"Scram!"

"Roger that~"

The three answered quickly and scurried to catch up with the group ahead.

Catching up with the group and having Tsunade-sensei's protection, the three dishonestly huddled together again.

"Big sis, tell us more about why sensei got beaten up." Fugaku asked with full interest in a low voice, completely oblivious to his wife's increasingly dangerous gaze.

Mikoto had no idea that these three had a life-and-death bond as strong as real brothers.

In Teuchi and Fugaku's eyes, Riei wasn't a woman at all—this guy was clearly their big brother.

Faced with his little brother's question, Riei immediately put on a serious face and whispered:

"Cough cough... It's fine if I tell you, but you absolutely cannot laugh loudly and attract my brother over."

You were the one laughing most wildly just now!

Fugaku and Teuchi instantly exchanged glances, then nodded repeatedly like pecking chickens.

Seeing this, Riei finally hummed with satisfaction and lowered her voice:

"See that big-chested woman supporting my brother? That's a romantic debt my brother owes from Kumogakure, and now she's come to collect!"

Hearing this, Teuchi immediately gasped, his eyes gleaming:

"Something from Kumogakure?! I remember sensei said he was less than ten years old back then?! This... sensei started wreaking havoc on girls from other villages at ten? That's way too advanced!"

On the other side, Fugaku nodded repeatedly with admiration and longing.

Every time he thought he was about to see sensei's taillights, sensei would always tell him with a shocking drift: Mada mada da ne~

Just as Fugaku was amazed, Teuchi suddenly whispered:

"What's with sensei's eye? Why is he wearing an eyepatch?"

"That?!" Riei sighed, a hint of lingering fear in her eyes.

"Last week my brother opened the Death Gate of the Eight Gates. But then he couldn't close it, and his whole body was like a torch—nearly scared us to death. Fortunately, Kagami-nii used Susanoo's weapon to pierce through the Gate of Life, forcibly stopping the runaway Eight Gates."

Hearing this, Teuchi sharply inhaled.

He practiced the Eight Gates himself and knew exactly where the Gate of Life was located.

To put it bluntly, only a freak like sensei could pull off something like this. After all, the Gate of Life was located in the head!

What a ruthless person. He just wondered what brain matter tasted like...

Thinking of this, Teuchi suddenly frowned and asked again in a low voice:

"With sensei's constitution, shouldn't recovery be extremely fast? It's been a week and he still hasn't recovered?"

Hearing this, Riei shook her head.

"I don't know about that."

...

On the other side, Rinjin pushed his worries aside and quickly scanned the lively street.

He had to admit—in terms of pure military might, Konoha might not be able to dominate all others. But in terms of resilience and war potential, Konoha was absolutely in a league of its own.

Konoha had too many great clans. First the Uchiha and Hyūga, then the Ino-Shika-Chō and others, with powerful civilian ninja emerging endlessly. Who knew if these civilian ninja families had a parent who once bore the Senju name?

In comparison, though Amegakure's new generation of young people generally had reddish hair, their overall strength still had a gap compared to Konoha. The main reason was the homogeneous population.

Thinking of this, Rinjin looked at Sakumo beside him, whose mood was obviously poor.

"Dog-bro, didn't you go see your son?"

Hearing this, Sakumo sighed deeply, looked up toward Konoha Hospital, and said:

"I saw him. That kid's hospitalized."

"Why is he hospitalized?" Rinjin asked back.

"It's all because of that damn eyeball!" Sakumo complained, then grumbled:

"That kid must be possessed or something, insisting on using that Sharingan. Is that thing meant for us Hatake clan members to use?! With that stamina and chakra, he'd be better off properly practicing Body Flicker Technique and our family's sword techniques. Besides, there aren't that many Uchiha stronger than me! Why does he have to fixate on that eye?"

Hearing this, Rinjin immediately nodded, thinking to himself that Dog-bro was being modest.

There are only a few Uchiha stronger than you. But when it comes to assassination and instant-kill techniques, really no one's better than you.

Thinking of this, Rinjin subconsciously encouraged Sakumo.

"Come on! Dog-bro, let's go to the hospital and take a look."

Hearing this, Sakumo instinctively shook his head.

"I already went."

"When? Didn't you stay with the main group after entering the village?"

"Just now when you were getting beat up by your wi— uh... Princess Tsunade!"

Sakumo glanced at Yabai supporting Rinjin and tactfully changed his words.

Hearing this, Rinjin admiringly gave him a thumbs up.

"Dog-bro, you're still the fastest! Little brother admires you."

After saying this, Rinjin curiously followed up: "Then why didn't you stay at the hospital longer?"

Hearing this, Sakumo's mouth suddenly curved into a relieved fatherly smile as he murmured:

"That kid Gai was putting on a show in Kakashi's hospital room! I saw them having a blast playing rock-paper-scissors, so I decided not to go in and disturb them."

After speaking, Sakumo couldn't help but feel emotional inside.

Kakashi, this child, has also found his own bond! That kid called Uchiha Obito was actually pretty good too, but that child only thought about girls all day—not worth deep friendship. Gai is different. This kid is both optimistic and strong, simply Kakashi's lifelong best friend.

Thinking about it, Sakumo's mouth unconsciously revealed a father-in-law's knowing smile.
