Chapter 660 - Chapter 877: Poor Pierce

The four of them continued eating, and with the two little ones keeping the atmosphere lively, the second full table of dishes was soon nearly finished as well.

Julian was eating shrimp—shrimp that Jirachi had just handed him.

Pierce, who had peeled those shrimp "for Jirachi," could only stare in disbelief as the little guy turned around and gave them all to Julian.

For a moment, Pierce could feel how a simp might go through everyday.

"Pierce, aren't you a Major General now?" Asher suddenly asked.

Since Pierce was on leave and not in uniform, no one could tell his current rank.

Previously, he'd been a Senior Colonel.

"Yeah," Pierce nodded. "After becoming a Pseudo-Champion, I was promoted to Major General."

In the military, once someone reached the Elite-level, they were typically granted the rank of Major General.

The fact that Pierce was only promoted to Major General after reaching Pseudo-Champion status wasn't because the military was holding him back—on the contrary, it was because they valued him. Although he's only a Major General now, the authority he held was greater than most Lieutenant Generals.

As a future Champion candidate nurtured by the military, Pierce's treatment within the military was absolutely top-tier.

"Just a Major General? Hah, I'm a Marshal," Julian said smugly, then looked at Pierce with a grin: "You should be saluting me."

Pierce glanced at Julian, only to see Jirachi staring straight at him. That adorable look made Pierce turn into a simp again.

He started peeling more shrimp for Jirachi.

Once again, he watched as Jirachi gave all the peeled shrimp to Julian.

Pierce: 'If I peel any more, I'm a dog.'

"Major General, huh? That's impressive," Rowan said with a tone of envy.

Every man, deep down, dreamed of wearing a general's stars.

Unfortunately, given his background, joining the military was something he could never do.

"If you want, I can arrange an honorary Major General position for you," Julian said.

After all, he was a Marshal. Although he didn't have much real power, arranging an honorary Major General position for Rowan was as simple as saying the word. Besides, Rowan's strength was more than enough to qualify.

"Get one for me too!"

Before Rowan could respond, Asher had already leaned in.

"Sure, but even as an honorary Major General, you'll still have to take on missions sometimes. You can't refuse when the time comes," Julian warned.

"Don't worry, we definitely won't refuse," Rowan immediately nodded, and Asher did the same.

And just like that, the matter was settled.

"Pierce, from now on, both of us are generals, just like you!"

Asher put his arm around Pierce's shoulder, looking very pleased.

Pierce was speechless. He had risked his life to become a Major General, while these two had become Major Generals so easily—even if it was only honorary and came with no real authority.

After all, even an honorary Major General was still a Major General. Walking into a military base with that title carried serious prestige.

"Julian, I want to go out for a stroll."

Celebi was already full and felt bored staying here. Besides, this was its first time at a club, so it really wanted to go out and look around.

"Alright, but don't go too far," Julian nodded.

As soon as he said that, Celebi immediately grabbed Jirachi and left.

"Aren't you worried they might be captured by someone with ill intentions?" Ember instinctively asked.

"They're both Pseudo-Champions. Who do you think has the ability, and who would dare?"

The latter part of Julian's statement was delivered with undeniable confidence.

The whole world knew he often had Celebi and Jirachi with him. The chubby Celebi was very distinctive, and Jirachi went without saying—there was only one in the entire world.

Anyone who recognized them would instantly know they belonged to Julian. And if anyone dared to lay a hand on them even after that—Julian would almost admire their courage.

"Pseudo-Champions… ugh, I'm so jealous," Asher muttered with a sigh.

Those two little guys looked more like mascots—adorable, lazy, harmless—yet both possessed Pseudo-Champion level strength. How were the four of them supposed to compete with that?

And if they knew that Jirachi was actually a First-class Legendary and not just a Pseudo-Champion, they'd probably be green with envy.

---

Inside the club, Jirachi and Celebi were wandering around curiously.

The staff at the club all knew that Champion Walker was in their establishment, though many guests were unaware since he was in a private room.

However, the moment people saw Celebi and Jirachi drifting around, they instantly understood that Julian was here.

No one dared to inquire about which room Julian was in. The gap in status was simply too vast. Approaching him recklessly would most likely only earn his displeasure.

The club's interior was lavish and majestic. In the center of the lobby stood a massive "Thousand-Mile Landscape" mural made entirely of gold.

The gold used for it alone cost nearly hundreds of millions.

The mural wasn't protected by glass or barriers, only guarded by two security guards.

Guests were allowed to take photos and pose with it—but absolutely forbidden to touch it.

At this moment, however, Celebi and Jirachi were sitting right on top of the golden landscape, swinging their legs leisurely.

The security guards didn't dare to move a muscle.

They had just received an urgent message from their boss: "Even if those two little ones burn down the entire club, you're to hand them the torch and help them burn it."

"Celebi, this is all gold! It could be sold for so much money!"

"Yeah," Celebi nodded seriously.

Although the two little ones were mischievous and had their allowances strictly controlled by Julian, they knew exactly what they could and could not do.

"Hannah, Hannah, wait!"

At the staircase, a beautiful young woman dressed elegantly was walking quickly toward the exit, while behind her, a well-dressed middle-aged woman hurried to catch up, grabbing her by the wrist.

Hannah angrily shook off her hand, her face filled with fury as she snapped, "Is this what you call a simple dinner? Sharon, I trusted you so much, and this is how you treat me? None of those men inside have good intentions!"

Sharon's face darkened for a brief moment, but the thought of the benefits she stood to gain made her swallow her irritation. Forcing a smile, she said sweetly, "Hannah, you've got it all wrong. Young Master Adam and the others didn't mean anything by it. They just wanted you to share a drink with them—why are you overreacting like this?"

"A drink? You really think I didn't see their little tricks? If I bring that drink over here, would you dare to drink it?" Hannah's face was full of anger.

If she hadn't been cautious, she would have fallen right into their trap.

People always said the entertainment industry was full of filth, but she hadn't expected to encounter it so soon after just entering it.

If her family's business hadn't run into serious trouble, she would've never even considered joining this world in the first place.

Seeing that Hannah had noticed Adam's tricks, Sharon still tried to play dumb. "What are you talking about? You must have seen wrong. Young Master Adam and the others aren't that kind of people."

"Young Master Adam's father is a board member of Orient Entertainment. Don't you want to make it big in the entertainment industry? This time, all you need to do is make Young Master Adam happy..."

"After this, TV shows, movies, endorsement deals—you'll be so busy with offers you won't be able to keep up!" Sharon continued to persuade.
