Chapter 823 - Chapter 1040: Pocket Money

"With only two months, the scope of our exploration will be extremely limited. Thankfully, Julian has already provided us with a detailed map. Otherwise, just figuring out the terrain would have taken more than two months," Duke remarked with a sigh.

"Enough chatter, old man. Hurry up and release your Pokémon. The energy here is highly beneficial for them—the more they absorb, the better," John urged, already releasing all his Pokémon, including his main team, amounting to thirty in total.

In fact, Pokémon could absorb the secret realm's energy even inside their Poké Balls, but due to the barrier of the ball, the absorption efficiency wasn't as high as when they were outside.

Their physical constitution simply couldn't compare to Julian's, and they couldn't stay for long, so releasing all their Pokémon was the only option.

The seven Champions collectively released over two hundred Pokémon. The weakest among them were at the Elite-level, while the strongest was Duke's Alakazam, at level 96—mid to late-stage Champion.

Each Champion had brought around thirty Pokémon with them, though this wasn't their entire roster. Many more were stationed back in the outside world.

Seeing the comfortable expressions on their Pokémon's faces confirmed Julian's claim—the energy here was indeed greatly beneficial for Pokémon.

Especially for Victor, Brandon, and Paul, who were at the peak of the Pseudo-Champion level, this Primal Secret Realm might very well be the key opportunity they needed to break through.

"Alright, time is limited. Each of you will lead your own teams to explore, but under no circumstances are you to leave the Horseshoe Plains. In case of an emergency, immediately fire a signal flare."

Duke, as the person in charge, was now solemnly assigning tasks.

Since there was no signal within the secret realm and walkie-talkies couldn't cover long distances due to the intense magnetic field, signal flares were the only option in case of trouble.

The Champions nodded. Their tasks had been assigned even before entering, so they each led their teams to different areas of the Horseshoe Plains.

Having watched his grandfather and father enter the secret realm, Julian wasn't too worried. With their strength, as long as they didn't provoke Kleavor, there shouldn't be any real danger.

Besides, due to the erosion of the secret realm's energy, they wouldn't reach the Grandtree Arena anyway—the distance was simply too far.

"Champion Walker, are you leaving?"

An officer approached Julian and asked.

"Yeah, why wouldn't I?"

Julian replied matter-of-factly.

Surely they didn't expect him to guard the entrance of the secret realm—that was something he definitely wouldn't do.

"Perhaps you could leave one of your Pokémon to stand guard? I'm afraid Champions from other countries might not be able to resist coming over," the officer quickly explained after realizing the issue with his wording.

Around the entrance of the Primal Secret Realm, there were not only numerous military personnel guarding it but also ten Pseudo-Champions and dozens of Elites.

Aside from Champions, no one else had the ability to force their way in.

While Julian didn't believe any Champion from another country would dare come here, risking their life, the thought of his grandfather and father being inside made him reconsider. If he left, it might indeed be wise to leave someone behind.

With that in mind, Julian tossed a Poké Ball.

Pop!

Reshiram appeared.

"Stay here, if anyone dares to enter, just... you know," Julian said casually.

Reshiram nodded and lay down beside the secret realm entrance, resting.

He hadn't sent Zekrom because of its temper—if asked to be a gatekeeper, it would likely refuse. Reshiram, on the other hand, was much more obedient.

"This should be fine, right?" Julian asked with a smile.

The officer, still staring at Reshiram in awe, quickly replied, "Absolutely no problem!"

Seriously, with a First-class Legendary guarding the entrance, who would dare come? The sense of security was practically overflowing.

"Then I'll be off. Try not to disturb Reshiram unless necessary," Julian said.

He was worried that their curiosity might get the better of them, and someone might be reckless enough to try touching Reshiram—after all, it was a First-class Legendary.

"Rest assured, Champion Walker. No one will approach Reshiram," the officer quickly assured him.

In fact, even if they wanted to, they couldn't get close. The aura emanating from Reshiram alone was enough to keep them at a distance.

Forcing their way closer would only be seen as a provocation by Reshiram, and it might just... well, let's just say the consequences wouldn't be pleasant.

"Notify me if there's any emergency."

"Understood, Champion Walker."

Thinking there was nothing else to say, Julian turned to Metagross. "Let's go home."

The next moment, he and Metagross vanished from the spot.

Reshiram, who had been dozing, slightly opened its eyes and then closed them again.

"Whew…"

The officer couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief. Facing Julian, he felt an immense psychological pressure.

Julian himself didn't think he was exerting any pressure.

But people, due to Julian's achievements, felt a great sense of pressure just from speaking with him.

It was like an ordinary person talking to a national leader. Even if the leader was very friendly, the enormous difference in position would still make them feel extremely nervous.

After a few uses of Teleport by Metagross, Julian had already arrived home.

Love wasn't home—at this hour, it was probably out grocery shopping. As for his mother, she was likely teaching a class at university.

"Slow~"

Slowking immediately emerged from its Poké Ball, took out its phone, and contacted Love, telling it to wait as it would join it soon.

Upon learning that Julian had returned, Love excitedly declared it would prepare a grand feast tonight and urged Slowking to hurry over to help with the shopping, bringing along Magearna and the "tool guy" Lucario to carry the groceries.

After informing Julian, Slowking headed out with Magearna and Lucario.

Stretching lazily, Julian plopped down on the sofa. Celebi and Jirachi were already engrossed in playing games. After being in the secret realm for so long, the craving had long since built up.

"Julian, shouldn't you make up for our pocket money for the past half year?" Celebi asked expectantly.

Each of them received a daily allowance of 100 bucks.

But inside the Primal Secret Realm, Julian hadn't given them any.

Julian looked at Celebi in surprise. This guy's brain could actually think of making up for pocket money—did the Primal Secret Realm also have the effect of boosting intelligence?

"Alright."

Julian nodded. Thinking about the playful nature of these two and the fact that they had stayed in the Primal Secret Realm with him for more than half a year, it really had been a bit tough on them.

"Really?"

Seeing Julian agree so readily, Celebi wasn't happy but instead looked at him suspiciously, wondering if Julian was just teasing it, getting its hopes up only to disappoint it later.

"Celebi, if Julian said it, then he definitely means it."

Jirachi quickly stopped Celebi from doing anything reckless, fearing that the allowance they were about to receive might vanish because of its words.
