Solvi breathed a sigh of relief after they all stepped into the Veil.
The thick air around her shimmered, which gave her a sense of comfort. This was her home. Both she and the Veil knew they belonged together.
Ronin and Varek were just behind her.
Varek was his normal, dark and brooding self. Or at least, that's what Solvi thought he was always like. They'd only had two interactions so far, and both had shown her that he was a man of very little words.
Ronin, on the other hand, was in awe. This was his first visit to the Veil. Solvi was sure her face had been similar when she'd first set foot inside the realm.
It was a lot to take in. Starry skies swirling with a rainbow of colors. Thick air that bent to your imagination. Here was a place where anything was possible.
Solvi focused on the Outer Ring. The furthest out the city went. It was an area of extreme poverty. Of death, disease, and prostitution.
