On the desolate lunar surface, the battle between Naruto Uzumaki and Toneri Ōtsutsuki reached its climax. The air crackled with energy as the dark sky lit up with the flashes of their collisions. Naruto, in his Kurama Chakra Mode, launched a massive Rasengan while dodging Toneri's attacks - the Ōtsutsuki's Tenseigan eyes controlling the battlefield with terrifying precision.
"Toneri!" Naruto shouted defiantly. "I won't let you destroy Earth!"
Toneri gazed down with serene, almost melancholic grace as he floated effortlessly.
"Naruto Uzumaki..." His soft voice carried unwavering conviction. "You misunderstand. This isn't destruction... I follow Hamura's decree. Earth must be purified - the shinobi world is a failure."
With a fluid motion, Toneri raised his hands as multiple Gudōdama (Truth-Seeking Balls) materialized around him. The black orbs of pure energy hovered like lethal guardians.
"Golden Wheel Reincarnation Explosion." His calm proclamation echoed ominously.
One Gudōdama rapidly expanded before Toneri hurled it at the moon's surface. The catastrophic impact made the entire moon quake violently, a gigantic fissure splitting the terrain like an unstoppable wound.
"What are you doing?!" Naruto struggled to maintain balance as the moon began breaking apart.
"The moon has served its purpose." Toneri's voice was icy yet sorrowful. "For Earth's destruction, nothing is more fitting."
Horrified, Naruto watched the moon fracture in two - each half drifting apart in a cosmic spectacle of devastation. As the void of space began invading the lunar surface, Naruto knew he had to stop Toneri at all costs.
"I won't allow this!" He charged a Rasenshuriken. "This ends now, Toneri!"
Suddenly, a spatial vortex materialized behind Toneri. From it emerged Obito Uchiha's Sharingan, blazing with intensity. Without a word, Obito launched a lightning-fast assault - phasing through Toneri with precise, intangible movements.
Caught off guard, Toneri reacted swiftly. A Gudōdama intercepted Obito's attack, the black sphere absorbing the impact harmlessly.
But Obito didn't relent. Utilizing Kamui, he teleported around Toneri - appearing and vanishing across the battlefield. Every counterattack passed through his intangible form as he pressed the assault with flawless precision.
Naruto watched in stunned disbelief.
"Obito!" He prepared another Rasenshuriken. "I've got your back!"
Obito remained silent, wholly focused on the fight as his relentless strikes forced Toneri onto the defensive.
Taking a deep breath, Naruto felt the weight of this unlikely alliance. Though Obito had once been an enemy, the determination in his eyes now spoke volumes - this was a man fighting to protect the world, just like him.
"Obito..." Naruto smiled genuinely. "I'm glad you're free. After everything... I can see you've changed. And that's what matters. I forgave you long ago, and now? I'm grateful you're here fighting with me."
Obito's surprised expression melted into gratitude. He knew Naruto's words weren't hollow forgiveness, but sincere acknowledgment of his redemption.
"Thank you, Naruto." Emotion thickened his voice. "I don't deserve it... but I won't let you down. Today, we fight together."
From his elevated position, Toneri chuckled disdainfully.
"How touching." A Gudōdama pulsed ominously beside him. "But sentiment won't stop destiny."
With a wave of his hand, Toneri launched a Gudōdama at blinding speed. Naruto barely dodged while Obito phased through it effortlessly.
Naruto analyzed the deadly orbs with tactical precision - he remembered their chakra-absorbing properties from the Fourth War.
"Obito! We can't hit them directly, but if we make them collide..."
"Right." Obito's Sharingan tracked their movements. "Separate them from Toneri, and they're neutralized."
Toneri's smirk turned glacial as the Gudōdama orbited faster.
"You think it's that simple? These spheres are extensions of my will. You'll never destroy them."
Naruto acted instantly. Kurama Mode clones charged with Rasengans attacked from all angles, forcing the Gudōdama to intercept.
Using the distraction, Obito teleported behind one orb - attempting to banish it to his Kamui dimension. But Toneri anticipated him.
"Not so fast, Uchiha!" A second Gudōdama intercepted with explosive force, sending Obito skidding backward.
"Obito!"
"I'm fine!" He recovered instantly. "Stick to the plan!"
Nodding, Naruto feinted with a Rasenshuriken - not aiming for Toneri, but forcing his defenses to shift. As predicted, a Gudōdama blocked the attack, creating the perfect opening.
Obito materialized behind Toneri in a vortex.
"Now!" His chakra-charged strike connected squarely with Toneri's back.
The Ōtsutsuki cried out as the blow launched him forward - straight into Naruto's waiting Rasenshuriken.
"It's over, Toneri!" Naruto unleashed the full-powered attack.
