Chapter 133 - 123

LONDON

A few days later, Akshatha travelled to London for the campaign audition.

It wasn't a completely new experience for her anymore. She had already done plenty of modeling work, campaigns and professional meetings.

Still, London felt exciting.

When she arrived at the location, she looked around and smiled.

"So this is where the big audition is happening?"

Her agent laughed.

"Don't act nervous now."

"I'm not nervous."

"You've been asking about the schedule since yesterday."

"That's called being organised."

Her agent shook her head.

"Come on."

They entered the studio.

The campaign team greeted her warmly.

Akshatha immediately noticed something.

Everyone already seemed familiar with her work.

The photographer had seen some of her previous campaigns. The brand's creative team had already discussed her portfolio. They had apparently been considering her for the campaign for some time.

One of the team members smiled.

"We've been looking forward to meeting you

"We already like you. We just need to complete the process."

Akshatha nodded.

"That's fair."

She changed and went through the audition.

There were a few looks to try.

Different expressions.

Different poses.

A short walk.

A few photographs.

The photographer gave her simple instructions.

"Turn slightly."

She did.

"Look over your shoulder."

She turned.

"Now give me something more relaxed."

Akshatha smiled naturally.

"Like this?"

"Exactly."

They continued for a little while.

There was no major difficulty.

In fact, the whole thing was much easier than Akshatha had expected.

After the final shot, the photographer lowered the camera.

"That's it."

Akshatha looked at him.

"Already?"

He laughed.

"Yes."

She turned towards the campaign team.

"So that's the famous audition?"

Everyone laughed.

One of the executives smiled.

"I told you. We already liked you."

Akshatha grinned.

"Well, I'm not complaining."

They discussed the campaign details, schedule and contract.

The brand officially confirmed that she had been selected.

Akshatha looked at her agent.

"I got it."

Her agent smiled.

"You got it."

Akshatha laughed.

"I knew the audition wouldn't be that difficult."

"Why?"

"Because they were already fixed on me."

Her agent laughed.

"Don't say that too loudly."

"Why? It's true."

She smiled.

"They had already decided they liked me. I just had to prove that they were right."

The campaign team liked her confidence.

There was something easy about working with her. She wasn't trying too hard to impress them, and she wasn't pretending to be someone she wasn't.

The formalities were completed, and the campaign schedule was confirmed.

As they walked out of the studio, Akshatha looked at her agent.

"So, when do we start?"

"Next week."

She nodded.

"Good."

THE WARDROBE FITTING

The wardrobe fitting took almost the entire day.

There were several outfits prepared for the campaign, and the styling team wanted every detail to be perfect.

Akshatha changed from one outfit to another while the stylists checked the fitting, adjusted small details and decided which accessories worked best.

By the evening, she was exhausted.

She looked at the stylist.

"How many outfits are left?"

The stylist smiled.

"None."

Akshatha immediately relaxed.

"Thank God."

Everyone laughed.

The stylist smiled.

"You'll need to be fresh tomorrow. The actual shoot is a full-day schedule."

Akshatha nodded.

"Got it."

The brand had already arranged her transportation for the next morning.

The client would personally send a car to the hotel to pick her up.

That evening, she didn't feel like going anywhere.

She had a simple dinner at the hotel and returned to her room.

After calling her family and telling them about the fitting, she finally put her phone aside.

"Tomorrow is the big day."

She looked at the huge bed.

"And I am going to sleep."

Within minutes, she was out.

THE SHOOT

The next morning, the brand's car arrived at the hotel exactly as scheduled.

Akshatha came downstairs, greeted the driver and got in.

When she reached the studio, the entire team was already preparing.

The campaign had ten different costumes.

And each one had a completely different look.

One was elegant.

Another was modern.

Another had a completely different styling concept.

The creative team wanted every outfit to feel like a separate story.

Akshatha went through each look patiently.

Hair.

Makeup.

Costume.

Accessories.

Lighting.

Camera.

Then the shoot began.

The photographer gave instructions continuously.

"Turn slightly."

"Hold that pose."

"Look towards the light."

"Beautiful. Stay there."

Akshatha followed everything.

Between outfits, she would quickly change, get her makeup adjusted and move to the next setup.

By lunchtime, she had already completed several looks.

She looked at the production team.

"How many more?"

Someone checked the schedule.

"Four."

Akshatha sighed.

"Only four."

The photographer laughed.

"You're doing great."

"I know. I'm just tired."

The team laughed.

She continued.

Look after look.

Costume after costume.

Different hairstyles, different expressions and different setups.

The shoot occupied almost the entire day.

By the time the final photographs were completed, Akshatha was completely exhausted.

The photographer looked at her.

"That's a wrap."

Akshatha smiled weakly.

"Finally."

Everyone applauded.

She laughed.

"Don't clap. I'm too tired to celebrate."

The team laughed again.

She thanked everyone and returned to the hotel.

The moment she entered her room, she dropped her bag onto the sofa.

She sat on the bed.

Then lay down.

"I'm done."

She didn't even feel like checking her phone.

The entire day's work had taken everything out of her.

She ordered a light dinner and went to sleep early.

---

A SURPRISE FROM THE CLIENT

The next morning, Akshatha received a message from the brand team.

There was a gift waiting for her.

When she opened the package, she found a beautifully arranged cooperation gift from the client.

It was their way of thanking her for her work and the smooth collaboration.

Akshatha smiled as she looked at it.

"This is sweet."

She immediately took a photograph and sent it to her family.

Her mother replied almost instantly.

"You finished the shoot and already got a gift?"

Akshatha typed back.

"Yes. Apparently I behaved well."

Her mother replied:

"You? Behaved well?"

Akshatha laughed.

She showed the message to herself and shook her head.

"Very funny, Amma."

---

A LITTLE TIME FOR HERSELF

With the campaign work completed, Akshatha finally had some free time before returning home.

She decided to explore London a little.

She visited a few well-known places, walked around the city and enjoyed being a tourist for once.

But she wasn't going home empty-handed.

She wanted to buy something for everyone.

For her father, she found a couple of well-made business suits.

She could already imagine him wearing them for meetings.

She smiled.

"Appa will like these."

For Manu, she picked up a few things she thought he would enjoy.

Then she started looking for something for her mother.

She found several beautiful Western outfits.

She liked them immediately.

But then she paused.

She knew her mother wasn't someone who could simply change her entire fashion sense overnight.

Just because Akshatha bought her Western clothes didn't mean her mother would suddenly start wearing them comfortably.

She held one outfit up and looked at it.

"Hmm."

She smiled.

"Amma needs time."

She eventually selected a few pieces that she thought her mother could slowly get comfortable with.

She didn't want to force a completely different style on her.

She wanted her mother to enjoy wearing them.

After finishing her shopping, Akshatha returned to the hotel with several bags.

She looked at everything she had bought.

"For once, I actually bought more things for my family than for myself."

She laughed.

Then she started packing.

The London trip had begun as another professional assignment.

But between the luxury hotel, the long shoot, the client gift and exploring the city, it had become another memorable chapter in her growing career.
