HELL - THE CITY OF DIS
From the highest balcony of the infernal palace in the Tower of Dis, Neron stood motionless.
His expression, usually drenched in smug amusement, was tight.
Another presence had just vanished from Hell's tapestry.
Another powerful one.
He felt it the way kings feel tremors beneath their throne.
Abaddon the great warden of the Pit of Hell, Gone.
Azazel. Erased from the board, sealed in the pit.
Neron's fingers tightened on the railing until the metal bent.
"No…" he muttered under his breath. "This cannot continue."
He turned slowly, crimson eyes burning.
"He defeats Hell's strongest as if swatting flies. Fallen angels. Ancient wardens. Even the likes of Etrigan bend the knee." His jaw flexed. "And the First of the Fallen will no longer move openly against him.."
His voice lowered..
"A direct confrontation may very well end in my defeat.."
Behind him, a soft, laugh echoed through the chamber.
Lilith stepped into view, ancient and ageless.
"My," she purred, "it seems you are finally thinking clearly."
She circled him slowly.
"Yes… if one wishes to kill something that slaughters demons and fallen angels like insects, one must choose a different method."
Her eyes gleamed.
"A method that does not involve him… directly."
Neron's lips twisted into a thin, sinister smile.
"Of course."
He began pacing.
"If we assume one of his goals here is to retrieve that fool Constantine's soul from my grasp…" He scoffed. "And Constantine is merely a friend to him... what lengths would he go to for his own blood?"
Lilith's smile sharpened.
"Careful," she said softly. "Do not kill them."
She stopped in front of him.
"If you extinguish what he loves, his wrath will not be containable. Use them. Bend them. Pressure him."
Neron's eyes flickered with intrigue.
"I know precisely how far to push."
Before he could continue, Lilith's gaze drifted toward the balcony doors.
"Before you act," she murmured, "take a look outside."
Neron frowned slightly.
Then he stepped onto the balcony.
And froze.
The hellish sky above the City of Dis was no longer empty.
It was filled with dark flying entities.
A legion.
Winged silhouettes in perfect formation, armor gleaming with cold, violet luminance. They hovered in disciplined ranks, their presence suffocated the demons below. They looked heavenly, radiant and terrifying.
At their forefront
Bellion.
The Shadow Marshal.
His blade rested at his side, wings spread wide, eyes burning with sovereign violet fire.
Below, the streets of Dis erupted into chaos.
Demons stumbled backward, staring upward in disbelief.
"HEAVEN HAS INVADED!" one shrieked.
"No.. no, those wings are dark, something is wrong.."
"They are not angels, look at their eyes and wings!"
"Close the gates! Sound the horns!"
Panic spread like wildfire. Lesser demons dropped weapons. Some fell to their knees, thinking The judgment of heaven had come.
From the balcony, Neron's eyes narrowed.
"Is he attacking us?"
His gaze sharpened further as he studied them.
"These soldiers… they are frighteningly familiar."
His voice dropped.
"They are not what I think they are… right?"
Lilith stepped beside him, peering into the sky.
She studied them carefully.
Then she laughed.
"Fear not."
She folded her arms.
"They are not angels. Or at least not the ones I once knew."
Her tone carried no deception. No uncertainty.
Neron looked at her for a long moment, searching for even a trace of falsehood.
He found none.
"Very well, First Mother."
He turned back toward the sky.
"If he commanded an army of true angels, he would not bother with theatrics. Hell would already kneel."
Lilith's smile deepened.
"I think I know what he is doing."
Neron glanced at her.
"He sent them as a warning."
Silence lingered between them.
Neron's eyes fixed on Bellion.
"So it seems."
High above, Bellion's gaze locked onto the palace balcony.
His violet eyes narrowed.
Without a word, he lifted his blade.
And swung.
A single arc of condensed shadow and radiant force carved through the sky, vast, razor-sharp, splitting clouds and fire alike as it descended toward the palace.
Demons screamed.
The arc struck.
Neron reacted instantly, summoning a colossal shield of hellfire. Crimson flames spiraled outward, intercepting the attack in a violent explosion that shook the City of Dis.
Shockwaves rippled through the towers.
The shield cracked, but it held.
Smoke cleared.
Bellion's voice thundered from above.
"This is your warning, false ruler of Hell."
Every demon below fell silent.
"You will submit and surrender to the Shadow Monarch."
His blade pointed downward.
"Restore what you stole. Vacate the throne you claimed falsely."
His wings flared, casting vast shadows over the city.
"And you may live."
The air trembled with the next words.
"I shall not repeat myself."
His eyes burned brighter.
"For when next we come, we shall not speak."
"Our blades will do so in our stead."
The legion shifted as one.
Then.
They ascended.
Vanishing into the infernal sky like a fading omen.
The silence they left behind was heavier than any war sounds.
Below, demons whispered in terror.
"He's challenging Neron…"
"A declaration of war…"
On the balcony, Neron lowered his hand slowly.
His expression was no longer amused.
It was thoughtful, dangerously so, anger was clearly written all over his face.
Lilith glanced at him.
"He is not just threatening you," she said softly. "He is saying he can kill you whenever he wants..."
Neron's gaze lingered on the empty sky.
"…Then we shall see," he murmured, voice cold as iron. "Whether this Monarch of Shadows is prepared for what I have in mind.."

GOTHAM - ARTHUR'S ESTATE
Sunlight filtered softly through tall arched windows, warming polished floors and the dark wood furniture that lined Arthur's private wing. Outside, the wind stirred the trees in measured rhythm, a stark contrast to the chaos unfolding in Hell.
Inside Arthur's room,
Raven sat cross-legged at the center of the chamber, her posture straight, hands resting gently upon her knees. A faint violet aura glowed around her, subtle and controlled, disciplined. Unlike the chaotic pulse of demonic power she once struggled with, this energy flowed in measured currents, calm as a moonlit tide.
Her breathing slowed.
In.
Out.
The room responded to her presence.
Minutes passed.
Then her eyes opened.
A soft exhale left her lips.
"Phew…" she murmured quietly. "I feel… alive."
She flexed her fingers, there was strength there now. Stability. No violent backlash. No creeping corruption gnawing at her consciousness.
Her gaze drifted toward the window.
"I wonder how Arthur and Kara are doing right now…" she said softly to herself.
She closed her eyes briefly, reaching outward with her senses.
Nothing.
No trace of Arthur's immense shadow aura.
No trace of Kara's blazing presence.
That could mean only one thing.
They were very far away.
Or somewhere she could not reach.
Her brows knit slightly.
"I can't sense them anywhere nearby, I mean I know they are okay... but what is this feeling.."
She stood slowly, smoothing the fabric of her cloak.
"Maybe I should visit his mom," she decided aloud. "I feel better right now, I should move a bit."
The door opened as she stepped into the hallway and nearly collided with George, who had just raised his hand to knock.
He froze mid-motion.
She noticed the hesitation.
George lowered his hand slowly, adjusting his posture with refined composure.
"Ah. Miss Raven," he said smoothly. "I was about to inquire whether you required anything."
He glanced past her into the room,
"…However," he added thoughtfully, "I observed you were in the midst of meditating. It seemed prudent not to interrupt."
He clasped his hands behind his back.
"I have learned that disturbing individuals during such a process rarely ends favorably."
Raven tilted her head slightly.
"You sensed it?"
George offered a faint, dignified smile.
"I may not possess mystical prowess, but even I can recognize when the air begins to feel ominously weird."
She gave a small laugh.
"That's fair."
They began walking down the corridor together.
"If you are inclined," George continued, "I have already prepared a meal for you. Something light, yet nourishing. One must not meditate on an empty stomach."
Raven paused for a moment.
Then she looked at him sincerely.
"Thank you, George. Truly. For taking care of me lately."
There was no sarcasm, or guarded tone.
Just gratitude.
George's expression softened, though he quickly regained his refined composure.
"It is my duty, child," he said smoothly. "And most certainly not because Master Arthur may or may not transform me into a shadow soldier should I prove negligent."
His tone remained perfectly serious.
"…Purely professional motivation."
Raven stared at him.
Then burst into quiet laughter.
"You know he wouldn't do that."
George lifted a brow.
"Would he not?"
She smiled warmly.
"He likes you."
George considered that.
Then nodded solemnly.
"I shall accept that as insurance."
They reached the foyer.
George studied her carefully.
"Are you feeling well?" he asked more seriously now. "Well enough to leave the estate?"
Raven stretched her shoulders slightly, testing her energy.
"Yes," she replied. "If I linger here any longer, I might start losing energy from inactivity."
She looked toward the main doors.
"I'll visit Arthur's family. See how they're doing."
A small pause.
"And check whether Arthur visited them with Kara at some point."
There was a faint note of concern beneath her calm tone.
George nodded.
"A sensible course of action."
He stepped aside, allowing her passage.
"Please extend my regards to Miss Blackwynd."
Raven smiled faintly.
"I will."
She stepped outside into the daylight, cloak shifting in the breeze.
George watched her go then teleport away, hands folded behind his back.
