"I like you." Alhai repeated, a little louder this time.
Zaque, Heiren, and Quizen simultaneously stood up from their seats and stared at their friend with wide eyes.
"Alhai?!" Quizen exclaimed, his jaw slacking.
"I like you." Alhai mumbled and pressed his face further into Coco's palms, ignoring their outburst and reaction. "I had this feeling for a while now.. It was the reason why I kissed you.. Which is still wrong of me, but I hope it will clear any question in your mind."
The tone Alhai used was calm and composed, a big difference to the passion-filled tone he was using earlier.
Confessing to Coco gave him a refreshing feeling, the restricting hold on his heart was now replaced with a calming flutter that made him able to breathe more freely compared to the past couple of days.
"I know that you don't see me as someone capable of liking you.. But I do like you." Alhai continued, shifting his face towards Coco's hand to press a kiss on her palm.
