Perseus POV -
Said,'' Lord Mephisto.'' I looked around we are in a large grassland. There is nothing and no one here. The real location I can sense is the same place where I met him last time. But there is no settlement like last time and no old fat man. Well it's been quite some time.
He also put a smile on his face that did not gave me any good feeling and said,'' King Perseus. It has been a long time. And if you are looking for the people from the last time then they have moved on. The fat man has nothing to eat in the winter so he died and the others they moved to the next place. Well who did survive the winter. ''
I said, '' Yea, long time indeed. If I am not wrong it is more then half century since we last met.''
He laughed and nodded his head. He said,'' Yes yes. You remember correctly. ''
Then I asked,'' Well I do know the reason you called me but still I would like to hear it from your mouth. So tell me King of hell what is your purpose?''
He said in a very gentlemanly way,'' I am here to fulfill our past agreement. To make a deal in which I can continue to make pacts with human.''
I said,''Yes I thought as much. Well before that I have some questions I want to ask. Will you enlighten me with the answer?''
He said,'' Of course. If it is not that difficult then I will answer. ''
Then I waved my hand and summoned a grand throne like chair and a table. There is a mug and a plate on the table. Anything the holders of the mug think it can produce and the same for the plate.
I gestured for him to sit and said,'' Please sit. Let's talk comfortably. '' He sat down on the chair and beckoned me to continue. I asked, '' Why humans and earth?''
He looked confused so I elaborated, '' I want to know why every dimension lord is trying to eat the earth or trying to manipulate humans? There are many other species in the universe. Some are even far stronger then humans then why they only come here?''
He laughed and said, '' It's very easy actually. Earth because it is the nexus point and once they have it encompassing the other planets will be easy.
Why humans then I can only tell you why I go after humans. Firstly you must know that I make deals with not only humans but also other species. But yes I do prefer humans because the power I get from a soul is depend not on there power but on there potential. And as you know the potential of humans are one of the highest in many galaxies that's why.''
Well this conform my doubt. Earth really has very deep waters. Then I asked my second question, '' Do you know the place where the ruby of cytorak is?''
He said without hesitation, '' No. Although I do know about this ruby and what it entails but I don't know where it is. And frankly I don't want to know. Cytorak is not something I like to mess with. So I stay away from his.
matters.''
I smiled and teased,'' Are you afraid of him?''
But he did not smiled which shows that he is serious, '' Not afraid, but cautious yes. My most of the abilities are based on magic and this particular being is almost immune to all kinds of magic. It's quite frustrating to know that you are so weak in front of someone. I do not like this feeling and that's why I stay away from him.''
Well I think it is truth. Weakness and helplessness are one of the worst feelings in the world. I said,'' Well let's forget about this thing. So tell me your deal.''
He took a sip of something which smells like wine and said,'' I will give you the part of Zarathos that is with me if you allow me to continue to make pacts with humans. ''
I also countered,'' I can work with it. But we have to decide some things like time limit, conditions and others.''
So he said, '' For thousand years.''
Thousand years maybe a long time for humans but for us it is just a passage of time. So I said,''I will allow you for one thousand five hundred years but I have some conditions. ''
He was surprised after hearing this and asked ," What conditions?''
I said,'' Firstly - You will not manipulate anyone to sign the contract. You will only do it. When they will sign it with there own free will.
Second - You will not kill those peoples of contract before there time. If they die on there own then it is there problem.
Third - You will fulfill the wishes or conditions written in contract. Word by word and emotion by emotion. Means you will not manipulate the words of contract to get better deal.
Fourth - The contract you do in which you just use the blood to create a contract will not work.
Fifth - Do not take advantage of innocent and weak people. If you can make there life easier by the contract then go on but you will not make it difficult. You will not use, betray or harm them in anyway and anyform.
If you are agree with my terms then we can sign the contract right now.''
He said,'' Although the conditions are hard but the increase time limit is a welcome change. So we can sign this contract. He was going to bring out the contract when I shool my head and said,'' Don't worry I will bring the contract. ''
Then I focused on the holy power to create a contract. When I opened my eyes I saw a very afraid and wide eyed face of Mephisto. His gentlemanly demour was gone and replaced by a sweaty face. He asked or more like whispered, ''What in the name of hell was that light? It was like it is burning me from inside. It was quite painful. ''
I chuckled and said,'' Oh yes. You do not know about my this power. Well for another time. But for now sign this contract. And yes before you sign it. This is made of the same power that you saw right now. Means if you ever break any condition of this contract you will face constant pain.''
His face was hilarious like he has eaten an entire lemon. Then with greeted teeth he signed the contract and we both bid each other farewell.
